The staff were very friendly, we were served by Jayne, who was attentive and helpful.

The food was as expected, nothing stood out, but we ate it all up and were happy 👍🏻 they have bottomless coke drinks too so that was good, You don't see that so often anymore.

The seating was better than average. And I personally prefer the white plastic high chairs to the little wooden ones so many restaurants have (they have the white ones here).

The baby change is spacious. No hook on the door for the nappy bag, though 😐
The loos are clean & spacious.

The atmosphere was pleasant.

My son and daughter booked a table for 10 for my 44th. Birthday and we was served by Jayne lovely friendly lady who went above and beyond with our booking taking orders for drinks and food and puddings nothing was too much for the lady she asked us if our food was ok which was amazing I must say and the puddings we chose were absolutely delicious 😋

6 people came for my Nans birthday. Our dinner tonight was absolutely fantastic, and a huge part of that was thanks to our server, Jayne. She was incredibly helpful from start to finish, Nan was a little low on the seats so Jayne went and got her a pillow to sit on. She also offered excellent service, and checking in at just the right times without being intrusive. Everything flowed perfectly, and her friendly demeanor really enhanced our experience. We'll definitely be back!

Fantastic Meal and Wonderful Service at Beefeater!
Our recent visit to Beefeater was an absolute delight, marked by both fantastic food and truly exceptional service.
The meal was outstanding. Every dish we ordered was cooked to perfection and bursting with flavour – a real testament to the kitchen's skill.
However, what truly made the experience memorable was our server, Jayne. Jayne was an absolute star – incredibly attentive, friendly, and genuinely went above and beyond to ensure we had a great time. Their warm and professional demeanor truly enhanced our evening.
I highly recommend Beefeater for anyone looking for a delicious meal served with a smile. We'll definitely be back!

Very pleasant staff who welcomed us at the door (Katie & Morgan) service was spot on, ordered fillet steak cooked by the chef Julie and was cooked perfectly and great portions deffo be coming again

Visited today, on a rare child free day, for a quick lunch.

I was asked about allergens when I arrived, I stated my gluten allergy to Lucy. I declined the allergen folder as I prefer to use the website.

Lucy took our drinks order and returned shortly after to take our food order. I failed to remind her if my gluten intolerance again but, Lucy did amazing because I heard her check with the chefs that 'this is the alleged one?' When she collected our food.

Other than when we were initially greeted I failed to remind Lucy about my allergen, I'd need not have worried, she kept me safe and I'm super grateful! Lovely service and food came out timely too!

(Steak was over cooked but I was too hungry to care 🙂 and still in awe of Lucy's great attention to detail.)

My 5 star review is based on Lucy alone. With regards to the restaurant, i noticed floors were unclean and given i arrived at 12.30, i didnt feel this was justified, also noticed the seating had lots of staining to it. Needs a bit of a refurbishment i feel. Finally an over cooked steak ( i ordered medium to well, it was very well done), in a steak pub, isn't really what I was expecting.

Great service for a big chain. Diane was an excellent server. Food was very tasty as well! We didn't book but was seated very quickly. Worth going to in Cannock for a regular meal.

Went here for a 50th birthday. Have been here many times before, but probably not since before Covid so maybe 5 years ago. Beefeater was always a touch above the fairly boring and average standard of chain pub food. Burgers and steaks were always well cooked, flavoursome and could tell it was quality meat. Always looked forward to a meal as a treat here.
This time however it seems in the 5 years since our last visit the quality of food has dropped right off. It was now no better than your standard "hungry horse" or "sizzling pubs" food which is I would say only slightly better than cooking for yourself at home.
I had steak, portion size was tiny, a few chips, peas, half tomatoe, and the steak was small, fatty and not really cooked as ordered (ordered medium rare - came overly done) and also seemed a cheaper cut, not much flavour at all. Everyone ate their food, I mean, we were all hungry and the restaurant and servers did a great job of serving for around 20 of us.
No faults with the restaurant itself, it's clean and spacious, and certainly no faults with the staff we were well looked after.
Unfortunately, this has now put me off going to Beefeater again, and after reading other reviews it seems the brand has possibly been taken over in the last few years and the quality of food has dropped because the owners are buying cheaper/lesser quality and serving up smaller sizes. Bit of a shame really. One less customer = another step nearer closing down the business.

Went for dinner Saturday night with 3 others. Ordered the sharing platter, mixed grill and sirloin steak. The mixed grill was great apart from egg was baked. The sirloin steak was good however did contain a lot of gristle. The real disappointment was the sharing platter. It was £46 for 2 people to share. The plate contained 1 X 8oz steak that was tough, half a mushroom, half a grilled tomato, 4 onion rings, 10 wedges and a bone of brisket which was the best part. Also a tiny bowl of salad, some shredded beef and a garlic bread. This is supposed to be for 2 people. Once shared out it was very little for the price paid. 2 mixed grills would have been cheaper with way more food. Having to cut half a mushroom into quarters was quite shocking, same with the tomato. Very disappointed.

polite and kind towards me and my partner when we came to dine tonight
(13-09-25) the manager was so kind and such a gentleman he pulled my chair out for me and was always smiling. I highly recommend this restaurant as you will be served with great service and amazing staff!
