Tried contacting emergency repairs for flooding boiler.
No answer after 20mins on phone, told to email, will be in touch within three days.
Absolute joke.
Legal action is needed against these obsolete government authorities, bills rise every year, service is rock bottom. Disgrace.

Over the last few months I have been trying to work with the housing/homeless team at Solihull Community Housing. This review is based on a number of interactions not just a one off.
From day one their communication is poor at best. Replies to emails are sporadic and the content is abrupt in tone. One particular employee has failed to reply to a single email, to the point I thought they were off sick or had left the company. Interesting Solihull Community Housing do not advertise their service standards. The information on their website is out of date and their email replies contradict the information on their website. I took my enquiry to the management and their response was also curt and unhelpful. I find it sad that the enquiry remains outstanding but when you are basically ignored what else can you do. It felt like bullying. This from a 'Community' Housing association. Im thankful that I will never have to deal with them again, I feel sorry for their tenants who do not have that choice. The current housing crisis may explain employees behaviour, it does not excuse it. In no way would I recommend this housing association.

Lived in Solihull all my life and gave up a 3 bedroom house after my mom went into care which had disability features such as a downstairs bathroom. You would think they would care enough to offer me a new home. No straight into Band E, you send an email explaining your circumstances but because you are a white male you get the bog standard response to make it out there's people ahead of the que. This isn't the case as foreigners are always priority which has been for the longest time.

Imagine living high up in a high rise with young kids, there's a crack in one of your windows thats been there since they were all replaced in the buildings so no fault of mine, and the council tells you that if you want it replaced then you have to pay for it. Crazy stuff, I just hope it doesn't get any worse, I literally have nightmares about the windows breaking and my kids being in danger.
Also whatever happened to the window cleaners for high rises? They haven't been in years, and we aren't able to clean the outside of the windows.

All the bad reviews below are true in my experience, it is concerning how many people feel bullied though, I agree most of their staff are uneducated and untrained, especially the Dodd Group phone staff. I agree and share the experience of others below in terms of their Anti-social behaviour team, and they need to stop wasting police time telling people to call the police and taking no action themselves, knowing full well the law states it as SCH's responsibility, not the police's, to handle these issues. I have personally sought legal advice and will be pursuing them to court, if you are having a bad time with them too, I recommend you do the same.

They bully you, cover up for eachother, if you complain about 1 member of staff they gang up on you. Culture of self entitlement and superiority. Threaten you with Social Services if you do not give them the excessive information they are asking you for which they are not entitled to. Sam Ghera spoke to me about dead children in Solihull within the first 2 minutes of ever talking to him and went on to name one. When I complained about him he contacted social services without my permission. Do not respond to emails as they like to cover their tracks. Staff refuse permission to record phone conversations even though they record you when you call contact centre. They work from home and you cannot see anyone face to face. They practice gentrification by not providing temporary accommodation in Solihull therefore removing children and families from the borough. I could go on and on they need investigated by the housing minister immediately.
