My advocate was wonderful - well-informed, highly experienced, honest, caring and genuinely concerned with getting me the very best outcomes. Nothing was too much trouble, she always returned telephone calls and treated me like a genuine human being. She was clearly passionate about her role and constantly encouraged me to be more assertive when faced with delays and poor service. I cannot recommend their advocacy service highly enough.

I was not permitted advocacy due to being dyslexic. Your Voice Counts decide that dyslexia is only a learning difficulty and not a disability. However dyslexia is now recognised as a disability and is considered a disability under the Disability Discrimination Act. I would love to know how I am supposed to get help with my undiagnosed mental health issues if I cannot even get support from those supposed to help us.

I went to visit an advocate with an advocate. Absolutely top quality and professional approach. I would highly recommend this for anyone who finds it hard to speak up and out for themselves. Don't hesitate, go and get help from your voice counts.

I have the utmost respect for the people who give it their time to afford a voice to those less able . Gary Fawcett has been remarkable in his dogged determination to support my brother and has built a sound relationship with him based on trust and goodwill . He has successfully and singlehandedly appealed and won to reinstate my brothers benefits for which we are very grateful .
Thank you YVC , keep up the good work
