Random day out resulted in stopping by for a quick drink which resulted in food being ordered too! Lovely staff (guy with beard who’s only started working there a week ago was extra lovely). Thank you for helping us make memories you didn’t know we needed.

Lovely pint of Tangle Foot in nice surroundings. Great staff, nice clientele, although I didn't eat there it was nicely busy with people doing so and the food looked great .. and as a couple of bonuses for me as someone just calling in for a drink, there were seats available and the pub didn't smell of food (something I dislike)

Great pub. Even better as no kids allowed! Great selection of ales and wines, all served in what looks like the inside of an old galleon. Only minor gripe is the couple of blokes who sit at the bar, cutting the service area in two. I don't know them, but one has a REALLY bad looking tupee... nearly put me off my lovely cheese chips!

We visited on a Sunday in June 2023, having popped in around 6 months earlier for a pint just before they closed. This time we were there for opening and after checking the menu decided to try the Sunday Roast. We weren't disappointed as the staff were friendly and welcoming, and the food was out of this world. Both the Pork and Beef options came with all the trimmings you'd expect and the veg was especially delicious. Really good portion sizes too. It did get quite busy whilst we were eating, so booking ahead is probably advisable if you want to guarantee a table. But whether you're there for food or just a drink, you won't find a friendlier pub on Poole Quay.

Great pub right on the quayside. We just called in for a drink. Very friendly staff. Nice atmosphere and drinks were spot on and reasonable prices. Dog friendly. We loved it here.

Fantastic pub....beautifully decorated in nautical theme. Had several of their seafood dishes and they were very fresh and tasty. Plenty of space inside, so ideal for families. Highly recommend

We hadn’t been in for a while but with family visiting from USA with a desire to experience a proper pub with good food we went for the Portsmouth Hoy. We were not disappointed, from walking through the door to leaving we were well looked after, the food was amazing, we ordered 5 different dishes, all of which were amazing. Won’t be waiting the long to return again.
