When I came to Next Link safe house in october last year I was lost , in tears and crying all the time and my life was in ruin. First of all i meet in train station my new support worker Rachel B and this was the moment when my life was changed indefinetly. step by step Rachel helped me to know about abuse about what is wrong and what is good in relationships. also she helped me to re build my life. she applied for me to new GP and helped me transfer across all my medical professionals to Bristol during this time i learned to be more confident and live without worry because my support worker helped me all the time when i needed. i would like to say Thank you Next Link and also Thank you ? my support worker Rachel B!

I am writing this review due to a concerning experience I had with Next Link housing and their IDVA worker in relation to allegations of domestic abuse. Despite my efforts to seek assistance and address the false accusations made against me by my ex-wife, I was unfairly labeled as the perpetrator of domestic abuse without any proper investigation conducted by the IDVA worker.

This inaccurate portrayal not only resulted in my access to my child being denied, but also led to serious repercussions within the family court system. It is important to note that my ex-partner was granted legal aid based on these unfounded claims, further complicating the situation.

Moreover, the misconduct of the IDVA worker extended to influencing social workers to disregard my safeguarding concerns and even suggesting that I could potentially become violent or engage in unlawful activities. This harmful behavior has had a profound impact on my mental health, as evidenced by a suicide attempt in September 2023.

Despite my efforts to formally address the issues I encountered with Next Link, I was met with dismissive and unprofessional responses, leaving me with no resolution or accountability from the organisation. This disregard for the well-being and rights of male victims of domestic abuse is deeply concerning and highlights the urgent need for reform within such institutions.

I urge you to take appropriate action to ensure that proper investigations are conducted in cases of domestic abuse allegations, regardless of gender, and to hold accountable.

I now have my access back to my son with all claims made against myself never brought up within the family court system, because they were false. Within police report's submitted to the courts it showed the true abuser being my ex partner and her current partner. Ms S D shame on you, your lack of professionalism showed within this case, maybe watch the documentary my wife the abuser, to understand domestic abuse for a male victim.

Awful experience. I contacted them in desperation and had no reply for over three weeks. I then had a reply by email 2 weeks ago advising that they would call me ( which has still not happened)

NextLink enabled my children and I to escape domestic violence, they scooped us up and created a protective and safe environment for us to live in while providing us with the support and tools to move on with our life. From the first phone call I felt understood and while everything around me was falling apart they were the beacon of light. There was always someone there to speak to, get support and advice. Will forever be thankful to the amazing team at NextLink.
