Outrageous and not worth paper written on.
Firstly outrageous to read QPM in their procedures before handing out awards which are not worth paper they are written on, look at advocacy case files of whoever "wants the award". Well let me tell you and anyone else reading this, that any advocacy out their that lets you look at client case files will be breaching client confidentiality and in breach of the data protection act. Doubt very much you get consent from clients before looking at case files.

Whilst some advocacy services out there are good, both in knowledge and in their understanding of confidentiality, many have not a clue. Run by people with poor knowledge of anything related to what they are advocates for, and many advocacy services with not a care in the world for how they handle client data. Languishing in positions they clearly have little if any training or expertise in seems a hallmark of many advocacy service. Those in charge just love their position. Poor knowledge of any subject, no qualifications on the subjects they advocacy for, poor data storage, no deletion process for paper records or electronic records or emails, no facility's to dispose of data, no office managers. Do you know their are advocacy services out their that do not even have an information governess department ! Some of which flaunt this AQPM certificate. Outrageous and not worth the paper written on. Advocacy services are very poorly regulated and no doubt many will be sued when data laws strengthen and they maintain their shocking incompetence towards their own services and responsibility's. And all those poor advocacy's out their stop using charity money for self promoting events tea and cakes, and use it to provide the services you have been given the money for !
