Local charity raising money to put back into services for people of the island. Will help anyone over the age of 50 with an offer of approx 26 different services. You can volunteer at almost any age and make a difference too.

Lots of different services for the 50+ people of the isle of Wight. Most free to access. Over 600 volunteers do over 50000 hours of support on the island each year on top of the services provided. All money raised by Age UK IW is kept on the island to benefit the people of the island.

I was a vulnerable 65 years old living in an office for lack of a home; these people sent me to sleep in the streets because they considered "my accommodation " unsafe. Age UK at large was appalled, the locals never apologised for what they did to me nor tried to help me find any form shelter or offer any support. Don't trust them if you have severe health or social issues as I did and still have a year later.
---- The above was written in 2016. In April 2018, I can confirm they are still as USELESS. I have a flat but no furniture beyond a wheelchair. IT IS NONE OF THEIR CONCERN. Perfectly normal that a 67-year old woman has to sleep on the floor if she cannot sleep in her chair -- I did not choose the become disabled. DO NOT SUPPORT THESE PEOPLE OR THEIR CHARITIES; THEY ARE A FRAUD.
