No care or compassion was shown by management. Residents are just treated like a number, not human beings! Mum was left in bed to waste away and sadly passed away after I had to tell the 'registered nurse,' she was dying. It's truly horrific ....
decided to respond here to the below reply from fshc... I had addressed all issues with management, and they were ignored constantly, and the fact that another resident died during the same period as my mum due to negligence is fact enough to the disgusting care. See st helens star dated 23/1/23 for proof. Thanks

Lovely well kept care home. My mother-in-law is very well looked after, she is very happy there, and has made some new friends. The staff are very helpful. Especially Heather, who goes. Above and beyond, and keeps in touch with us, letting us know how my mother-in-law is etc. Cant thank Heather enough!

Company is absolutely disgusting.
The staff are ignorant and are thick as pig s***
When it comes to dinner/tea, they have the decency to feed THEMSELVES before feeding the patients. I have also witnessed this and that they basically leave the patients asleep in their chairs without waking them up for food. Staff pay no attention to any piece of information you give to them over your relative.

I would rate this 0 star but sadly I HAVE to rate it.

My wife's mum is there at the moment, been there a while, place is clean, cosy, warm, staff very polite, friendly and helpful, let you decorate the room how you like, the staff are always on the go, even asks us if we want a cup of tea, reassuring to know your loved ones are in such peoples hands, many thanks to you all.

my mum lived here for two years and passed away on24/10/2018 I found it a brilliant care home,mum loved the food and all the staff and they couldn't do enough for her and us,it was like visiting mum at home and we loved going there,even when mum passed away the staff were caring and compationate and offered cups of tea and love and support,i never met the manager but never needed to,the carers are brilliant maybe they could do with a couple more for they work really hard,thank you all from mrs tattersalls family xxx
