Lovely little walk around the lake and play areas for the toddlers/U8s approx. One with climbing and sand pit/diggers, etc. And one with swings, climbing/slide and castle type climbing tower and ride on tractors, which my grandchildren loved. Good cafe too. Very quiet week days especially this time of year. Lake activities and fishing available to book. Busy in the summer.

Called in for a snack after a walk on a beautiful sunny day. Cafe inside and out overlooking lake, stunning. Food reasonably priced and good. Worth a visit . Only downside you have to pay to walk round lake although free to visit cafe

What a really lovely place to visit. Very clean and well kept with an excellent cafe and very dog friendly. I did think £6 for two adults just to walk two dogs was a bit steep, but we did enjoy our visit. Watching everyone paddle board, kayak and bounce about on the inflatables was very entertaining. Its a great family fun spot.
Our dogs love it here. It's free for a walk around and to use the cafe and toilets at this time of year (late September) still a thoroughly enjoyable walk, really something for everyone

We went at a weekend with our 3 year old son and booked for the lake side walks etc. Arrival was easy as we were greeted by a staff member who handed out wristbands and directed us to the correct parking spot.
We watched some of the water activities taking place, which look great fun.
Unfortunately the lakeside walk was only average and there weren't any great features. The playgrounds were of some entertainment but a little dilapidated.
Main complaint was that a lot of people seemed there just to let their dogs jump in the water and run around off the lead. Not much fun dodging excited soggy doggies! One person even let there's in the paddling area against the signage.
Overall, for the cost, it's only an average country park. Definitely focused on the water activities.

A fantastic place! Had a great time on the aqua park - lake surprisingly warm despite overcast day. Will definitely be back. Love that there’s a paddling area for kids.

Had a great long weekend here in the campervan. Loved the aquapark, would recommend booking early or late slot to avoid huge groups of teenagers! The lake walks were lovely and we enjoyed meeting the donkeys and goats. Good toilet and shower facilities.

Allerthorpe is very fun place which is ideal for all types of activities for families. The lake is inviting as also the food on offer which is good value in terms of quality. As a cyclist they are inviting and we use it at various times in the year. Go on try outdoor swimming.....

This has a pleasent walk around the lakes which I much prefer doing but back to the main entrance and it's lots of water activities and loads of people! Great if you like that sort of thing and I'm sure it's great fun for the kids. Didn't eat at the café was far too small and heaving. There is potential here.
