Arc were lovely to deal with, we deliberated for almost a year about handing over our beloved cockapoo to them after several failed rehome attempts by ourselves. They were very understanding on the day and dealt with us in a caring but professional manner assuring us he would be well looked after. They were very responsive to my emails about how he had settled in and I was so happy to hear that they’d found him a new home in less than 2 weeks! We will forever miss him but believe we made the right decision and trust they’ve found him a home that can provide for all his high energy crazy cockapoo needs! 100% recommend.

Got my new best friend from here on 31st Jan. What a lovely team that run the place & massive enclosed area they have to meet the dogs. Very clean too. You can tell they have the dogs in their care best interest at heart. I've read a few negative reviews from other people which I completely disagree with! I travelled from Taunton, Somerset & not once did I have an issue. We are still in contact with ARC now sending photos via email of how he's doing. Thankyou ARC!! I wouldn't be without my little bestie! ♥️

P.s I'd quite happily take on another frenchie brother or sister for him lol 😆

Buyer BEWARE!! Bonnie bites!!!
We adopted Bonnie, a 3 yr old black lab/retriever. Unfortunately, after a month we had no choice but return her to ARC as she has issues, she bites and nips with no warning signs or particular triggers. We couldn't have a dog that we couldn't trust. We can now see why Bonnie had been brought back by the two previous adoptive folk who had tried to give her a home. Clearly for the same reason. The manager/owner of ARC has not been honest with us about Bonnie, contradicting herself at every turn. Telling us that they never had any issues with Bonnie and then saying they had hoped their dog trainer guy had "fixed" the biting issue. She also tried to blame us and previous adopters. We have since seen Bonnie's previous vet's history which states the vet had 2 sedate Bonnie every visit due to danger of biting. The owner/manager also told us they couldn't rehome a dog that bites and that sadly Bonnie wld have to be put to sleep. Now, several weeks later, Bonnie is back up on the ARC website for adoption. The wording in the description has been adjusted but is still vague. "Hands off approach" means she bites!!! For anyone considering adopting Bonnie be prepared for the fact that she bites. I'm sure that ARC will tell you she is fine. They say they always have the dogs best interest in mind. Rubbish! That poor dog has been pushed from pillar to post. Poor Bonnie.

Applied for a dog with the centre. Much to my surprise I was invited for a meet with a lovely young dog. We went to the enclosed play area and everything was fine. On return to the office I met with a manager and I just knew there was no way i was getting this dog. The manager did not make me feel welcome. I however tried to keep my hopes up and waited 4 days before I emailed again and asked for an update. Only to be told I was not rural enough (i live in a small village). 3 bed, semi detached house. I really don't understand why I would be invited to meet the dog when they had no intention of giving me a chance. They possibly need to vet people a bit more before getting them to drive 45 mins to meet a dog. Overall a disappointing experience. I have since gone to a larger adaption facility.i am now fostering a springer spaniel with the option to adopt.

*I understand you want what's best for the animals, I fully agree. Just do the leg work and check before you bring in people to meet the dog.
