What an experience I’ve just had in Asda ! Only went in for a few things . Looking at the reductions I turned around. A Asda man is staring at me with a big trolley so I looked at him and he said I’m just trying to get there. I said okay sorry and moved away so he put his large trolley filling up the whole of the reduction section I said sorry was just trying to browse there. he just continued on his little Mobile . Then went to the till my card wouldn’t work in the machine. They told me just to try again didn’t give me a chance to even explain . I said the card reader keeps going off and on, but they said just try again and walked off. still wasn’t working so he came over and said you need to use a proper card which I told the man I was ! I said that’s what I am using ( chip and pin) he said well it’s a trip to customer services then to sort it . Got to customer service he slammed the receipt on the desk
Customer service lady hardly even looked at me and then I said, can you please take this coat hanger for me? She said yeah sure but you haven’t paid for that top I said yes I have she said no it void on your receipt . I had to give her the receipt out my bag . Looked at the receipt she said oh and I said I wouldn’t not pay for something and she then replied I didn’t mean in that way! And huffed at me. Would call up and complain but unfortunately I would go through to customer services.
Every time I come to this store staff are not willing to help you. Few years back my partner applied for a job at this store and went through all the interview process got a start date . Unfortunately the start date had to be pushed back a day or two for personal reasons and they were absolutely horrible to my partner.

Avoid at all costs

Usually have no issues here, although on this occasion not so much. I asked a worker that all the tills were closed, since I only had one item. Nope, Mike was very condescending towards me his tone talking to me wasn’t at all what I expected. I assume this is what he is like with all customers, I would suggest he needs some training on how to talk to people in a polite manner.

The law is the law I suppose but seems rather silly that I wasn’t able to purchase a single item.

This was the worst cup of tea I had ever tasted and my wife thought the same. We had to wait in a que for 15 mins before being served. We were refused a normal cup when drinking in and instead had to drink out of a paper cup.

The kids drinks didn't come with a cup either even though telling them that we needed something as they were too big for our toddlers.

When sitting down the table was dirty from the previous customer and we had to talk over the self check outs which were 3 paces the other side of our table. Very unenjoyable experience.

It was fully wheelchair accessible, with wheelchair parking and wheelchair toilets. Although the qué was not friendly for wheelchair users as you would struggle it fit down the gap.

I attend this store daily and the lack of small trolleys at the store entrance is a major issue, why is the (I'm assuming) designated trolley collector emptying bins and sweeping up leaves when there are no small trolleys at the front of the store (in fact the larger trolleys are becoming scarce also), I once did this job at Tesco and it was drummed into me the priority is trolleys - baskets - litter picking in that order. Surely if there isn't a trolley then you can only get as much as a basket can hold. And if you do get a trolley and need to use the loo you have to take it with you as someone will steal it or staff will return it outside.

I visited the Asda Cafe and was served by Paul. He was incredibly helpful and friendly. He had great rapport and really went above and beyond to give excellent customer service. He's an absolute credit to your company 👍

Great store. Sells all the usual, everyday items and the harder to find food too. Like No Palm oil peanut butter. (Yeah!) Jackfruit (huh?!) And those Easter bunny crumpets. (*screams*) Wide aisle. Good parking. Friendly checkout staff. Upatairs is clothing. It is good here.

This refers to the cafe. Went in the the first time the other day and was disgusted with everything about it. Dont get me wrong I know that it is a supermarket cafe so didn't expect restaurant quality food or table clothes etc. But it was filthy , old plastic style tables and chairs very unwelcoming. The coffee was undrinkable served in dirty cups and food looked totally inedible so only had pre wrapped minced pies. Really can't find any excuse for it will avoid like the plague in future.

I went into asda Grantham cafe today as needed some bits and thought I'd get the kids dinner while there.
We entered the cafe around 4.30ish and there was another family on one table and a guy on another. The rest of the tables were empty so pick of the cafe, excellent! However it wasn't like that as the remaining tables were covered in food and rubbish! I had to clear rubbish from one table and wipe it using my wet wipes so we could sit at a clean table. There was no highchairs available which for me is a massive need as I have a 23 month old who's additional needs and a runaway, so dinner time was a nightmare for trying to keep her sat down to eat her dinner. The children's all day breakfast was unavailable, which is the only thing from the menu my youngest can have due to allergies so she ended up with chips and beans, however the chips were already cooked and sat in the basket of the fryer over a hot lamp already looking hard and unappetising. These were reheated and served to us, my middle child didn't eat hers and my youngest picked at her food rather than sitting to eat.
Another 2 ladies walked in and commented on the state of the place to which I informed them I had been there around half hour or so and it was like it when I walked in. I came in to this cafe a couple months back and it was like this then and it's the same possibly worst this time round. If it wasn't for needing to feed my youngest I'd have waited and just gone home but having made it clear we was getting food I had to follow it up for her understanding.
I didn't pay much was only £12 for 2 pizza deals, kids nuggets and a child's chips and beans but it's the fact it was so dirty! The member of staff was on her own trying to do everything and she didn't have enough time to serve, clean, fill up the drinks machine and cook food. It's ridiculous.
This pictures are the ones I got from where I sat as I didn't want people thinking I was photographing them.
