My experience was awful for a whole load of reasons that I will not share in this Google review for length. But I will say one thing in particular:

Despite being trained in mental health, the doctors at this clinic laser-focused on my physical health disorder and attempted to promote a quack programme that believes that physical pain can be overcome with just a positive mental attitude, insomnia from anxiety can be overcome by just not worrying, and stress can be reduced by just letting go of the past, in a booklet written for those with a reading age of 9 years old. It was demeaning, and entirely off-topic from why I was there - my mental health!

I will give the benefit of the doubt and say if you're a simple case, you might be fine. But if you have anything more complicated, avoid.

My son has been under avon house for a while now and he's getting no better, the lady he was seeing was great she would listen to him and help.
Now hes seeing someone else because she on maternity leave they cut him down to half a hour a week and next week just enough time to have his injection its appalling. We are pensions how the hell do they think we cope evey day with his illness.
I feel like they are taking the micky and I have decided maybe I need to stop being there for him , they need to do the job they are paid for. I'm thinking of taking this further but I've done that before and got nowhere. It's not doing any of our mental health any good.

I have recently finished individual therapy and have been very impressed and thankful. There were teething issues for me when the areas were merged but they have improved immensely. The therapy was very helpful.

Shameful service. Moved here from another area's mental health team only to be discharged straight away without support because their "criteria" for helping people is so narrow. It's unlikely you'll get seen if you're referred here.

Impossible to contact. Call them up and you'll eventually press 4 to talk to a human, only to be told the only extension is unavailable and get sent back to the start. Leave a message and maybe get a reply in a few days.

I'm not sure how to arrange anything with an organisation that is incapable of being contacted

Worse than useless. I'd be interested to know how many people have died under their 'care.' Doesn't matter how ill you are or how many suicide attempts you make, you won't get help.
