Liked: We really enjoyed our stay, met up with 4 other families.
Beautiful lake, woodland walks and lovely campsite.
The staff are also very friendly
My boy did one of the activities (the big zip wire) and was excellent.

Disliked: A few little things, it was on a slope and rather hilly so a little tricky with a pram.
It was £80 for us to stay for two nights in a tent, which is a little more on the pricey side.
Toilets / sinks could be cleaned a little more but over all we will go back as was a beautiful campsite.

Liked: What a great site! Embedded in beautiful landscape with many trails. The grounds are gorgeous. The campsite is very well run. Shop, café, loads of activities available in the woods and on the lake. Unisex toilets and showers in very good shape (talking about the lakeside facilities block that we used). Friendly and enthusiastic staff. I reported what we felt was an unsafe situation, a big damaged tree branch that was dangling in the wind some five meters above a path, and they removed it within a couple of hours. Drinking water taps and fire hose reels all over the site. Wifi on site with good coverage (and with content filters). Major supermarkets are only a 15 minute drive away. Driving to the coast also just takes 15 minutes. But ultimately we barely left the campsite other than for a walk to beautiful Burley and its witchcraft shops. Everything is so beautiful and safe here. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and we already have plans to return.

Disliked: These are all very minor things, we didn't perceive them as problems at all, but maybe thought they are worth mentioning. The showers are warm water only. No possibility to have a cold shower. There is no shelf or anything in the shower cubicles to keep glasses or clothes safe and dry. The campsite is in the flight approach path to Bournemouth airport - about 10-20 planes a day flying very low above the site, typically between 7am and midnight. The lake is only to be used for paid activities. On the day we were using it, the communal fridge had an interior temperature of about 10 degrees, making it not safe to store meat. Mobile phone reception is abysmal.

Liked: We liked the views the camp site was very well laid out. Toilets and facilities are all with in walking distance great for us as we have kids. Seems very safe and secure. Had a good time.

You can use off the ground fire pits and barbecues i thought this amazing as the forest is a blanket no no to fire pits. Usually.

Disliked: Didn't like being rushed off the pitch by 10am. We had alot of stuff and takes a while to put away. So 11am would be better than 10am exit time

We stayed in the woods and they do not allow you to park or even drop off your stuff so had a lot of walking to do.

The stay was very good but quite pricey to what you get. But the lake is off limits to your own boats and no one under the age of 5 not allowed on hired boats or on the lake at all. I feel as of safty is too much set out on this site.

If your taking kids under 5 there's not much to do.

Liked: The pitch. In the woods. Great playgrounds for children. Cycling tracks- excellent. Fire pits. Toilets were cleaned regularly.

Disliked: Not particularly helpful staff at the reception. Not being able to hire bikes at 11am, as it was “too late and no one available”.

Liked: The pitches are a great size, we could easily fit a 5 person tent and pickup on it. The staff were all friendly. Good facilities that were cleaned regularly. The activities were a fair price and great fun. It was our first camping trip as a family and I'm glad to say we're now hooked thanks to the great experience avon tyrell provided! They have WiFi which works really well, but let's face it who needs a phone when you've got the outdoors to explore. We had one day of really bad rain, but the close proximity to Bournemouth allowed us to go enjoy a day at the aquarium.

Liked: Wonderful Weekend Getaway with Kids
We spent a fantastic weekend at this campsite with our two children and absolutely loved it! The environment is beautiful, clean, and well-maintained – a perfect escape in the heart of nature. There were plenty of activities for the kids, which kept them entertained and happy throughout our stay. The peaceful surroundings and family-friendly atmosphere made it a truly relaxing experience for all of us. We would definitely love to come back again!

Liked: Activities great a pretty good value. The mountain biking tracks were fun. The whole site is lovely.

Disliked: Showers a little cold, facilities a bit busy, to few for the amount of people. Also some hairdryers would be good.

Liked: Everything! Lake view field was great. Everything worked as it should, lots of facilities such as water/disposal etc all close by and well maintained. Clean and tidy. Lots to do on site. Staff are generally friendly and happy to help. The toilet/shower block was clean (and cleaned regularly), and, bonus, it was heated! Cafe on site and small shop with essentials. Short drive to local villages, which is nice to go and explore.
