This is the best of both worlds, working on personal and/or community based projects with a great group of people. Lots of fun whilst helping others and in turn learning new skills. And still time for a cuppa or two to wash the biscuits down!
Projects to date have included making a Dinosaur!!, nest boxes for Swifts and Barn Owls; repairing picnic benches and a garden seat; repairing household furniture, and more! Is there no end to this talent?

This was my second experience of repairing a broken garden fork. I think it's a solid job and I'm proud of it. Any more out there? Lots of skill and experience meant you can't go far wrong. Very satisfying! Thanks, Shedders!

I joined Aylsham Community Shed in October 2023, immediately feeling welcome and wanted by the group. Everyone was really friendly, and I quickly established myself as part of the group.

Before joining, I didn't feel I had the skills to be a part of a group like this, but quickly I just got stuck in and learnt some new skills and met some fantastic people along the way.

The Aylsham Community Shed is growing, and is a great place to join for people of all ages, ethnicities, and genders. We are part of the Men's Shed movement, but we are open to all gender groups. One of our female members is a fully skilled cabinet Maker.

if you are looking to give something back to the community, or are retired, or lonely, or just miss working in a team, then please come down to the Shed for a cup of tea and a chat. You may just find a group of people who can add real value to your life.

If you wish to know more, then visit us on a Saturday between 9am and 12.30pm at the Construction Shed, Aylsham High School

I joined the group about 5 weeks ago. I'm not someone that likes to join groups but I was tempted to try it by a friend. From the moment I arrived there I have enjoyed every moment. The camaraderie is brilliant, everyone is so friendly and thoughtful. There are some very skilled people there as well as bodgers like me, I have already learned so much. I look forward to going each week and I recommend it to anyone who, like me, wouldn't usually give it a try.

I contacted the Aylsham Community Shed to ask whether they could cut out a shape on a piece of metal to fit the end of a gutter! I dropped it off on the Saturday morning when the shed was going to open and I got it back on the same day! A big big thank you to Trevor who did a fantastic job, along with Derek and Andrew who organised it! 5 Star’s ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
