The CEO’s heart is in the right place but it’s not the same however is still a nice environment and from an educational perspective you have many options available to you.

I believe I’m in the minority however when referred I got told I would get support. Their IRS team, they are mainly a younger demographic employed in a wellbeing capacity & they don’t follow through with stuff they tell me in the booths leaving me disillusioned & in my experience unless they know you they tend to just walk right past you compared with other staff.

With the view of the deputy that their role is very important and will continue to be expanded when it’s evident they don’t have the training and appear disengaged unless in each other’s company especially when working with vulnerable people is of concern, given engagement is crucial, as you can’t just hire them on their perceived suitability to connect with members without acknowledging training deficiencies.

Therefore I encourage proactive measures from management to improve service and align with the mission of back on track
given the disconnect because working with vulnerable people requires not just empathy but also a specific focused mindset to effectively address their needs.

Apologies for being so frank but with my experience in matters compared with how I was made to feel by that certain team I've had to share my frank opinion.

As a former user the variety of courses to suit you is great and for getting out and you will get the support if you ask for it but only if you ask for it and good support at that. Though a downside you may not get the support and be forgotten about. It isn’t what it was anymore like on rough days the environment would lift you. Friendly faces on reception recently a lovely polish lady are gone and replaced with an ex member who has no enthusiasm. The warm welcoming atmosphere as you enter on the surface is just that now on the surface. Recent times they have let members on interview panels which for me was a big no. Leading to what forced me out. The employment of wellbeing focused staff. You see them about the most now and not one I can say at all in weeks looked at me or even smiled or asked how I was doing always and this is 10+ people walking unenthused and blank faced except like 2 and it just came off as cold and in rough times you start to think why did I come here. So funding needs to be better spent in that regard. They’ve shifted from their values of getting you back on track and care more for zoom calls than noticing their members so in hard desperate times for support go to Mustard Tree.

I contacted a few charities to help after a long 3 years of hospital and prison and back on track were the only ones to really get back to me and help.

The worker I work with is really nice and supportive and she meets me every 2 weeks. Hoping to attend events some time in the future too

I really recommend anyone contact them and just speak to them about support if suffering from ill mental health, homelessness, or a bad criminal record. They're actually very supportive and seem to have good intentions.

I'm in supported accommodation and one guy on my support team is a nurse and he said one of his patients once worker with Back on Track and they helped him get a internship with a car garage. He was serving a IPP sentence at the time and due to the help from the hospital and back on track, he apparently got released and is now working as a mechanic.

Felt the story belong somewhere!

Had a great time yesterday (Friday the 19th of July). It was an awards day, which was enjoyed by all, lot's of people received award's. I myself did and it was all due to the most fantastic people that work there, that I received it. I'd like to let everyone that is unsure as to go to back on track, to go there and it can change your life for the better in ways that will help you tremendously. I just wish to say thank you once again and I won't say any one's name's, but you know who you are xx.

An amazing place that does great things for people that society has either chosen to forget or ignore. When you arrive you're made to feel welcome and that you matter. It really does what it says on the tin, gets your life back on track.
