The Barnwood Trust is in a beautiful regency building. There is disabled parking and a ramp to get inside.

The staff member, G, looked after me and made me a latte.

I need help with flooring and can not apply for a grant myself, I need another agency to do it. I've been to CAB, CCP, and P3 to no avail.

So. I thought I'd visit Barnwood and get the info from the horses mouth. Which didn't happen. They wouldn't tell me who their community partners are and sent me back to CAB.

Even with the relevant support worker involvement, my application was overlooked, not processed properly in February, then they closed the grants. Excuses were flimsy at best and uncaring. Now no grants opening for months so I'm left with nothing. Not fair, not impressed.
Edit....lied to, ignored and gaslighted. Despite application in, now told no chance. Damaging, harmful, unethical.ill be sharing this widely.

Barnwood trust promised me they was going to help me before covid and after I phoned loads every time I rang in morning I cnt help u etc they told me I was priority I really needed help with furniture carpets etc I heard so many people getting help with playstations etc I struggled they told me to ring a different day time I done it then now longer help with furniture etc thanx so much barnwood trust for telling me u would help me then for some reason u never then lied to me I rang at 8 in morning like u said emailed spoke directly tried for few years I feel very let down yrs they do fantastic job for most but extremely devastating if u was in my position told u was going to get help etc

We heard you supported a community garden project in Westgate, Glos. Please can you let us know how to apply for a community grant, as part of a volunteer idea to improve wellbeing for an area of poverty in dire need of some help. We have been trying to get some advice since Nov 2020. Shame we couldnt have got this all prepared ready for spring. ASAP guys 🙂
