This is a lovely welcoming library with friendly helpful staff. It's an accessible building which is on one level with automatic doors. There are a variety of groups eg baby bounce and rhyme, knit and natter, gardening club, reading group, storytime, Lego club plus help available to trace family history, IT advice. Well worth a visit.

Excellent friendly staff exercising social distancing with masks and cleaning the computers after use.
I enjoyed my first visit after 18 months because of Pandemic, renewing researching my family tree.
Ancestry is free to use on the Lancashire County library computers.
Well done!!

Now in March 2022, I continue to visit the library upto 5 times a week researching my family tree.
Excellent friendly staff being careful with pandemic precautions.
Now free sessions for computer beginners on Thursday afternoons.

Now in May 2022, I am a recognised authorised Lancashire County Council Volunteer working in Barrowford Library.
My first project was this event....
We had a very successful Gardening Week over 4 days earlier this month, giving away over 80 plants free of charge to over 60 people including 10 children.

We hope to have more regular gardening events.

I rang the library today to see if I could use a computer and printer. The guy on the phone booked me in for an hour on the computer. Having not used a computer in years I was hopeless at trying to get my email to print. Both ladies who work there we very helpful and guided me through it. Highly recommend and took all measures to ensure covid safe .
