Beguiled into visiting their invitation only refurbishment sale with "up to" 70% off a few weeks ago. Joined the queue with high anticipation. I don't know what they had with 70% off, but I certainly couldn't find it. On average 10% only, which given the prices are somewhat more expensive than other retailers, made the visit a waste of time. Much of the stock was displayed at normal prices. Amongst others, I left empty handed. Nice shop overall, but annoying to make a special effort to go there and be so let down.

This is a bit like doctor who's Tardis, deceptavly bigger than it looks. Can not believe they have a department store in Paddock Wood. Large range of items, go see for yourself.

Very disappointing sale, travelled over from T.wells, expecting to see a good sale, seeing as they advertised it as being up to 70% off, we never found anything at 70% off , only 10% or 20% and lots of things were only reduced by a £1 or £2 not impressed!!

Popped in today to get my daughters secondary school uniform. We had no appointment but a wonderful member of staff took the time to help us and made buying the uniform very quick and easy.

I always enjoy shopping at Barsley's - it reminds me of how shopping used to be when I was younger. They have a good range of items at reasonable prices and the staff are very friendly and helpful. They also have a free privilege club scheme which gives member discounts, vouchers and special members only shopping days. It's lovely to be able to shop in a proper department store as there are so few left now. I'm so glad Barsley's have managed to survive in the current economic climate. Long may they continue to serve the local community.
