Books are our friends bcoz they make me relaxing ,peaceful and mind freshing.
Books help me get knowledge and the library has many games to play with which make it even interesting here......

Also known as the Discovery centre , this is a very good library which is located right in the heart of the festival place of Basingstoke , it feels very nice to be here and read books , you can even take close to 30 books home for 3 weeks for free , this place is useful and can be accessible for both kids and for adults it's very Quite and big place ,so for those who want to read books here can do it as there are ample space for sitting and chilling out with the books 😊

DISCOVERY CENTER where you DISCOVER THE WORLD.

Just like any another city council, Basingstoke and Dean's Discovery Center is located in Festival Place, which is one of the happening here. You come here for health, food, coffee, shopping and ultimate place the DISCOVERY CENTER. It provides different services like library, public internet, child corner. The library has a nice collection of all kinds of books to cater the needs of all people and ages. This year Basingstoke and the Discovery Center is celebrating Jane Austin's bicentennial so the library has a small corner to celebrate her life. They do have a small, cafe and gift shop too! They also have baby clinic and offer loads of seasonal activities for people of all ages.....

It's good place to spend your a Day in silence.

Great for children and families, terrible for those trying to read or study, the "quiet" study area is as noisy as a soft play. Completely open plan libraries don't work, there needs to be a properly sectioned off area with a door to enable quiet study so the centre can be welcoming to everyone. Glad the kids are having a nice time though and there are lots of activities for families. The staff were also helpful.

You have to visit discovery centre at least once to understand how big this place is! It’s a delight to be able to borrow so many books! Not just books, this library also has on going events happening that you can inquire about from the very friendly staff! Borrowing and returning the books is also a breeze! Personally, this place is the best thing that happened to me in Basingstoke! And oh! Did I mention that the membership is free?

Such a lovely place to take children. Lots of room and there is often drawing and Lego to keep them entertained. There is also a toilet, which is handy when you have little ones. The rhyme times and story times are also worth a visit.
