Had a suspicious letter delivered to my address, took it along Bernicia Housing, dealt with it Ok. Watch out for dodgy mail.

Cannot recommend Bernicia enough,from housing officers,workmen and contact centre staff. Pay your rent on time, respect your neighbours and keep your home in good order and you won't have any issues.

Been waiting almost a year for them to fix my bathroom window. Booked in June and earliest appointment I could get was September, only for joiner and come and say he couldn't do it and would need to rebook, given an appointment in January. Haven't been able to vent my bathroom properly for a year now meaning I've spent so much of my own money on mould remover. Also kitchen sink is leaking and told wasnt priority despite it being right next to electric outlet. Now cupboard is rotten and I can't use my sink or washing machine for another month. Told to wash dishes in a bowl then pour down toilet and wash clothes in the bath - I'm 6 months pregnant but was told tough its not priority. I also reported a tile repair and no workmen ever turned up for it, chased up three times now. Tried to say I had to pay for the work despite the tiles being there when I moved in.

So far had no bother at all with them did the jobs they needed done but the big ones might be more of a problem as it's rising damp in all the down stairs but we will see 😁

Never give the new tennants a chance to appeal or disagree with a complaint if your a new tennant it doesnt matter if the complaint is genuine or not they just have to threaten you as part of the agreement.

Absolutely awful service there left my son homeless sleeping in a tent because he didn't have a reference. Showcasing no sympathy for his situation his mental health was not taken into consideration. The woman simply said I'm moving on to the next person.

I have always had nothing but good things to say about Bernicia as I've been a tenant for over 10 years but trying to get my thermostat fixed after having a week of below zero temperatures well a week later and still no news of getting it sorted just because I have some heat,so I'm burning more gas to try warm up the house never getting up to temp. Complete joke of a company
