My dearest Kiri... it's been 1 year today since I lost you. There is not a day or night that passes where I don't think about you or talk to God wishing you were still here. I still cry and have sorrow in my heart. You inprinted on our hearts and i'll be eternally grateful for knowing and loving you. I miss you and love you with all of my HEART - Forever & always ❤️ 🙏🏻

Absolutely shattered to pieces. Today was the worst day of our lives. Our 4 month kitten (god bless her 😭) was vomiting and when we took her to emergency triage they put her on oxygen as she started struggling to breathe. They ran tests and nothing was found. They took x-rays and no diagnosis. For 3 hours on oxygen and given glucose to spike her blood sugar, she was not picking up but fading fast. They wanted to put her to sleep which we didn't want to accept because they weren't doing enough for her. If she's struggling to breathe, flush for any possible toxins and do other things to tick off possible causes of vomiting and struggling to breathe!! We have had to come home without her. Saying our goodbyes to her and coming home to her never being here again. The love she gave us and the beauty in her heart...God we miss you and love you with all of our hearts. You gave us so much love and we can't imagine life without you. This is so very painful and i can't believe this is even happening. It's broken our hearts and we will forever love and miss you. Three hours and didn't even know what was wrong with her! Didn't even give her anything or do much. Ruling out diagnoses and acting upon them should've been what they should have done. If they suspected toxins due to her symptoms, why not flush her body to make sure?! Why just leave her suffering like that and not acting upon possible diagnosis and ticking off possible causes by giving her meds and doing everything?! Just oxygen and glucose. Not even trying other things! I also believe they went behind our back and consent and euthanized her. They were pushing for euthanization and calling me cruel (so heartless). When we came in to see her, a few minutes later she was dying right in front of us. When she passed, she was still moving and twitching which to my knowlege is a result of euthanization. They can't be trusted. I feel in my heart that's what they did without my consent. Absolutely wicked! They should have known why she was struggling to breathe. They should of known the diagnosis. It's absoultly disgusting honestly. They should of helped her to breathe and gain her oxygen back. To think that there is equipment to make a pet breathe and they couldn't get her to breathe normally again is beyond me. I keep asking how can our baby not breathe after being on 3 hours of oxygen. 3 hours!!!!! They should have done more. They didn't. I just can't understand or get to accept that they couldn't get her to breathe and find the cause. They had 3 hours! How can you spend that long and not find the cause to why she was struggling to breathe and why her blood sugar wasn't increasing? It's absolutely disgusting honestly. You can't trust them with your beloved pet. They are supposed to be knowledgeable and know the diagnosis. We have lost part of our heart, our beautiful baby. We will never get her back!!! Absolutely heartbroken. They told me other veterinary clinics can do MRI scans on the brain...meaning that they don't. They lack essensial helathcare equipment to help our pets. This brings to the conclusion that they lack a lot of equipment and medicines. As a veterinary clinic they should be fully equipped and be able to give the best hope to saving our pets. Be careful about putting your beloved pet in the hands of PDSA. They lack everything. They wasted our baby's time she had left and she was suffering and passing away because they didn't know diagnostics to save her!! We just can't believe she's gone! We're in utter despair. The tears we shed and pain in our hearts will be there for a long time. God, i can't believe she's actually gone.

The team here are very helpful, it is appointment only but I had an emergency with my dog and they managed to get me an appointment the same day. We have used their services a few times now and they always explain very clearly about a situation. Great team of people.

Absoloutly fantastic charity and vets!!! Went all out and saved my dogs life..they have had her well being and comfort as their main priority from the start and have kept me informed the entire way through and double checking any information before going ahead. I can't thank them enough. The staff were so kind and caring and compassionate towards myself also as I was in distress. They had my whole world in their hands and saved her. ❤️ We thank you as a family and we thankyou on behalf of pumpkin aswell.

I am appalled at the service my mother recently received when bringing her beloved sick animal to you for help. You should maybe consider training those who work there on how not to deal with people. My mother is absolutely distraught at not only the fact she has lost her dog, But the absolutely disgraceful treatment she received. Imagine judging a person without having the actual intelligence to think she just maybe may have an illness that affects how she comes across to those single minded people who then had the audacity to accuse her of mistreatment of an animal. How actually dare you. You have no idea whatsoever how much upset you have caused. THEN you ask will you be leaving a donation today... Seriously are you people for real.

Absolutely diabolical service. I'm sure half of these vets have never had beloved pets, They are horrible and rude.twice now you have wrote my dog off and I have proved you wrong.im boy is 14yrs old and today you told me,there's nothing else you can do.when I know there is a lot more you can do for him.No time for our senior furr babies. RUDE VETS, NO SYMPATHY,NO EMPATHY, I understand your a charity, But I know if I was paying full price at another vets, He would still be getting the treatment he needs and deserves. And if I could pay those prices,I certainly wouldn't be using you. I AM SO ANGRY WITH THE VET I DEALT WITH TODAY. UNBELIEVABLE 🤬

I can’t thank the Pdsa enough for their help when i brought my cat to them. They provided a great friendly service. I read a review from a woman who’s lkitten had died and she was convinced that people had gone behind her back and put hed kitten to sleep. If they bad done that the kitten would have died immediately and wouldn’t be lying twitching. As for only giving oxygen to the kitten i don’t know what tests they carried out but if the kitten was severely anaemic or had consumed something poisonous it would probably have been futile taking more blood from it. When you consider the number of animals being treated whose owners don’t pay anything is it really surprising that they can't afford state of the art equipment. All vets charge to put an animal to sleep and i can guarantee it’s a lot more costly at a private vet for that and any other treatment by them. It’s strange that people jump to conclusions about their pet’s treatment and try to put others off attending the Pdsa. Some tests take hours to process and they cannot always be done on site, they have to be sent out to laboratories. Lastly many Doctors can’t fathom out what is wrong with their patient so why presume a Vet is any different. My nephew spent over £3,000 on an operation for his cat as it wasn’t insured. It was an elderly cat he’d taken on. Think yourself very lucky the Pdsa is there to help people who genuinely can’t afford treatment for their pet and stop moaning about being asked to donate towards your pets treatment. At the end of the day if you chose to have a pet you should be prepared to at least give something towards any treatment it requires as well as being prepared to spend money on the basics like fleeing and worming

I have had to use the service a couple of times at Oldbury PDSA. They have never let me down. Once when my elderly family pet was too poorly to help (devastated) and they were amazing. They helped us all the way. Even helping us to bring her home after her cremation with loads of keepsakes.
Then with our other older dog who was having seizures. No way would I be able to afford his ongoing medical bills without their help. I do donate on a monthly basis to the organisation, this doesn’t go to the individual hospital though so I do donate when I can to the hospital in Oldbury direct. I can’t fault them but that’s my personal opinion and experience.
