Birtley model railway club exhibition. Some really good layouts and traders with bargains to be had. Fab little cafe with excellent bacon buns for £2

Great old hall built in 1928 I’ve Been teaching Martial Arts there for the last 38 years it’s been like a second home to me, only problem I have is the unfair hall rental system they have in place for example you cannot hire the use of the Hall on a hourly basis , you get charged for 3 hours as standard which is fair enough if you are actually there for 3 hours but the likes of me who has only one class per week lasting one and a half hours IE.. six hours per month gets charged £125 per month the same as the other groups that are there for twelve hours , 😞

Although smaller than expected the model railway show was good and the area was well used. The staff I noticed were helpful and disabled access to upper floor was well built for use.
