Lovely night stay at the Black Bull. Room was clean & tidy. Double bed was comfortable with nice duvet & 4 pillows. Tea & coffee with kettle in the room.
Walk in shower, hand and bath towels provided.
Good sized free parking.
Reasonably priced for a 1 night stay.
Breakfast option would have been handy but not offered.

This was a great place for a Friday lunchtime. Our first time and it was highly recommended. Well done to the young chap behind the bar, also doing food service and all with a smile and sense of humour. The food was delicious, great chips, hard to find a good chip these days. Will definitely return

We found this pub by chance on a Saturday evening and were very impressed. We received a good welcome and the young waiter was really helpful even bringing a bowl of water and a treat for our dog! The menu was good - full of pub choices and at very reasonable prices. My husband enjoyed his pint too! Would definitely recommend it.

We hired the Black Bull function room for my Dad’s funeral wake and from start to finish the Black Bull staff were brilliant. The function room itself is lovely and a really great space for occasions like this. The room has its own bar and the food was tasty too. Also much more affordable than other venues in the area.

Lovely comfy bed, room is clean but the shower makes an awful noise when turned on. Lots of banging doors in the night that kept me awake. One member of staff was a bit rude when I asked if I could get a coffee stating to me they didn't serve anything until 12pm even though I was told breakfast would be available and that I had coffee in my room anyway. She didn't even know I was staying there. I had a very long train journey and just wanted to relax before meeting my son. WiFi didn't work at all of if it did only worked for ten minutes. Didn't feel very welcomed.

Stayed here last weekend with me husband for a little change of scenery. Nothing but 5 star treat meant. I was hesitant to stay in an inn but I was impressed. The staff were lovely the food was good old British pub grub and well the rooms are exactly what you pay for. No complaints from me.

I found this superb pub on Search for Sites for a stopover from Yorkshire to London.
Mine was the only motor home in an empty carpark as an event due tomorrow.
The staff were very welcoming and attentive creating a relaxed atmosphere especially the girl on the bar and the young lad serving meals. My meal was very good, only one slight criticism that seasonal veg was just frozen peas!
Would certainly return.

Staff were very pleasant. Room was airy and comfortable and parking excellent.

Sadly the food was poor. Majority of dishes only half eaten in our group. The 65+ menu fish and chips was unusual - very acceptable chips but with heavily breaded fish fingers, not fish.

Great Pub, great food and hotel rooms are brilliant. Great place with live music and outside bar for the good weather. Staff are lovely especially Ellen who served us 👍 we will 100% return .
