I live locally and have started with them on their Befriending service. It's a bright, modern and very friendly building. There are many different clubs for older Southwark residents to join in or have testing sessions of every subject on offer. I was encouraged to take a sitting down yoga class there and then, on my first visit . There's a modern kitchen which is run by Tina, a lady who is astonishingly energetic and caring. She organises meals and a multitude of other events besides. It's a friendly haven here.

Lovely place hang out if you are over 60 + or retired, plenty of activities, classes and trips for the elderly community.
Activities for babies, such as baby massage for the Southwark community. Overall this place is amazing.

The facilities here are all new (3 years+/-) and modern. The balconies have a good view of The Shard (a local landmark building). Just a 5 minute walk to Southwark Underground tube station. Tons of local shops, gyms, pubs and restaurants. This is a "hip and lively" area, with a low crime-rate. The building itself is secured by a call-view-buzz system and monitored 24 hours/7 days by CCTV. I've never heard any of the neighbours making noise, it's an extremely quiet place to live, especially for London.

A community based charity doing work with the elderly (Positive Ageing), the Visually Challenged, also working in Mental Health and Wellbeing, and providing befriending services - visiting or phoning people that are house bound and/or in need of support.
Along with other services, all provided by a group of staff and volunteers.

Not been there for health reasons otherwise I visit regularly.Wonderful lady named Tina runs this place.Too many things always going on to mention.Great for older persons to enjoy retirement.Your never lonely here.Tina was there for me/with my mum.Xmas dinner, trips,groups all year round.Go and get a coffee in the hall and get a list of activities.friendly lovely people.

Mary Ward Education & Law Centre are there now, so unable to provide feedback. However the lady administering M.W Course information is extremely gracious. Not used BlackFriars since 2018, as previously a hostile environment to particular communities. Whom are told to not to use Blackfriars Settlement when asking for complaints procedure.

They do alot Great for the community. I know they offer all types of life skills courses. ESOL even during the Pandemic they are doing them online.
