Whilst lovely to see reviews relating to the historical interest of this Church, I felt compelled to write a review about what is really happening there! This is a Christian church with heart, excellent leadership and a warm welcoming as well as caring congregation. Most of all, this is a place where God is clearly moving and touching lives. There are great activities for the children who are never excluded and two different Sunday services to cater for those that prefer a slightly more traditional service as well as those that lean more towards an evangelical service. One Sunday a month the two services are combined to cater for and bring together both groups. If you are looking for a new spiritual home, I would highly recommend you visit and become part of what God is doing in Blandford - you will definitely receive a warm welcome!

American visitors may be interested to known that Captain Quentin Roosevelt II, grandson of President Theodore Roosevelt, was married in this church to an American Red Cross worker, Miss Frances Webb, on 12th April 1944. His father, Brigadier-general Theodore Roosevelt junior, was the best man. Both officers were later involved in the D-Day landings. His father was reportedly the most senior officer to land in the first wave at Utah beach, but died shortly afterwards due to a heart condition. Captain Roosevelt was killed in an air crash in Hong Kong in 1948.

Surrounded by its graveyard and few construction. Faced to main road. Has a beautiful view. The Clock still works and bell rings.

Went to the Church to explore putting up Swift Boxes and a Swift Caller and a Camera behind the louvres. It is a perfect location as Swifts love Georgian Towns by water meadows, rivers, lakes and ponds. Also the residents of Blandford will take pride in caring for our feathered friends who are in massive decline and there is a risk they join the DODO in the future. So please let's join hands and pray that the darling Swifts will survive along with all creatures great and small.

This is one of those oddities than you seldom come across. The outside of the church is somewhat dour, that said it commands attention due in the main to its central location. Inside however is beautiful and tranquil considering it sits by the busy East Street through Blandford Forum. Surrounded by its own graveyard and some fantastic local building architecture and steeped in history makes this one of those churches that must be visited. Recommended.
