I felt the need to write this testimonial of praise to the staff at Blossom.

Recently, My partner and I got married, and we had decided that the wedding would simply not be complete unless our close friend was in attendance. Having served in HM forces with him and then see him deteriorate with progressive MS has been heartbreaking. To make matters worse, this man was at the top of his game when the diagnosis was confirmed, and the thought of needing any sort of care was going to be a very hard pill for him to swallow.

Unfortunately we live at opposite ends of the country and I only get to visit him on rare occasions and on these visits I have seen, first hand, the level of care he receives. I don't know much about care packages, but one thing that has stuck with me regarding Blossom is their ability to assist him whilst being on the same page regarding his stubborn independence. I realise that much training is needed to assist someone with everyday tasks such as eating and hygiene related issues but what I have seen regarding the interpersonal skills is simply second to none and in my opinion, simply something that cannot be taught. These girls just have it.

I was considering collecting my friend and employing a local care team to assist during the wedding where needed, and when I asked Blossom for recommendations, I was blown away by the fact that they volunteered to go above and beyond and take on the task themselves.

The carers that came (manager Kelli and another staff member called Joann) enabled my friend to be at our wedding and as and when the needs arrived, they dealt with his requirements in the most diplomatic of ways with minimal fuss. To see the relationship between the carers and my friend was truly humbling. Not only did they do their job, but they also genuinely cared and have honestly earned my friend's respect, which for an ex forces veteran is no mean feat.

I cannot praise the team at Blossom enough and would highly recommend them to anyone in need of a care package, especially when you hear so many horror stories surrounding the care industry. These guys don't just do the job, they are all over it. Well done Kellie and Joann, and thanks for making our wedding complete.

Blossom have been an excellent care company for my mother since she came out of hospital in December. Their level of care is far in excess of any others on the market which means that they have staff who are excellent and extremely caring. with the registered nurse on call this has meant she has been kept out of hospital and we can call any time to make sure all is ok. the online rotas and feedback mean that even if we are not able to visit we can access information to enable us to see how my mother is. I can not recommend them enough, the staff are amazing.

When looking for a care company for my mother I stumbled across Blossom. I can honestly say that using the services Blossom provides has made a huge impact on mine and my mothers life. I am able to ease off from caring for my mother as much and able to regain some of my own life while having the comfort to know she is being well looked after. My mother really likes the staff at Blossom as this is so apparent while I have been visiting her whilst they are present. We used other care companies in the past which to be honest were just rushing in and out and did not have the time for my mother.

I can now relax while im at work knowing my mother is safe with these fantastic people looking after her!

Blossom provide an exceptionally high standard of care, and the carers always seem happy to make sure they fulfil all of their duties and more, before they leave. The visits never seem rushed, and the assessments carried out by the qualified nurse ensure that the care that follows is perfectly tailored to the specific client.

We cannot speak highly enough of the care our Uncle receives from Blossoms Home care, nothing is too much trouble, they always go the extra mile, we live some distance from him but are able to read up every day how he is from the carers reports which we are able to access. We visited recently and noticed he had a problem with his eyes, we could not sort it out immediately so contacted Fiona who visited and liaised with the GP and got the problem sorted. We have total peace of mind that our Uncle has the best possible care from Blossoms and this enables him to stay in his own home which is where he wants to be,

I retired from my full time job and moved in to care for my mum in July 2014. Mum had COPD and was in and out of hospital.

In May 2016, as part of the care plan by the hospital it was decided to get carers in three times a day to assist me. Blossom Home Care were chosen due to their 45 minute slots for their clients, their specialism in Rural Care and that they were based locally in Northallerton.

Over the next six months, the carers would maintain my mum's dignity, her comfort and her well being during their visits. Mum gained friendships with the carers and would look forward to their attendance.

Blossom Home Care do not just care for the client as they were always supportive, informative and at the end of the phone to my needs as a carer at home.

In November 2016 as mums condition worsened the care plans were reviewed and both Mum and I were given emotional and practical support as the end of life care notice was triggered.

Mum died during the night a week before Christmas and on the morning of her passing a carer (Karen) was on hand for my emotional support.
