Our annual Polperro fix in Feb, as always excellent, meals every day in The Blue Peter, made so welcome this is our favourite pub, we chose from the Specials board the Oven Baked Scallops & King Prawns and the Blue's Tipsy Pork both were delicious. Our dog Eddie made welcome too, highly recommend you visit them.

Lovely little pub! Great atmosphere, drinks and food.
Visited on a Sunday and had a small beef roast dinner - very reasonably priced at £12 and good selection of vegetables.

Well, if you visit Polperro, you might have to eat something. We had fish and chips and fried calamari. Nothing special, also nothing really wrong. But we had better food for the same prices. The food looked half-heartedly prepared and the taste was average. The place is nice, however, and having a pint in the sun looking at the harbour that's also something.

We had a wonderful time at this fantastic pub, where a very friendly bar lady warmly welcomed us. As a family of five with three young children, we found this place to be incredibly family-friendly. The food was superb, with fresh seafood, and the king's prawns and scallops were particularly delicious. The downstairs area of the pub has a great atmosphere – cozy, warm, and with an old-world charm. We sat upstairs at a large table with views over the bay. It was a truly enjoyable and memorable evening during our holiday. I also thought the prices for both food and drinks were very reasonable. We would definitely visit again when we're next in the area.

A proper pub in the Heart of Polperro, dog friendly and why not indeed follow them on Facebook to see Dog on Wednesday. The menu is generous and proper homemade chips. The staff are super friendly.

The Blue Peter Inn in Polperro is an absolute must-visit for anyone in the area. Perched near the harbour, the entrance is up a steep set of steps that lead you into a true gem of a pub. For those who enjoy soaking up the sun with a pint in hand, the benches outside offer a perfect spot. For the more adventurous, there's a small beer garden at the very top of the pub, accessible via a bit of a climb as it joins a cliff walk footpath—definitely worth the effort for the view!

Stepping inside, you’re greeted by a cozy interior with low ceilings, exactly how you’d imagine an 18th-century pub. The atmosphere is always warm and inviting, with the place buzzing with conversation and laughter. The walls are adorned with fascinating artifacts, and you could easily spend hours exploring the history and stories they tell—all while enjoying a pint or two.

The staff at the Blue Peter Inn are outstanding—friendly, knowledgeable, and they know exactly how to run a proper pub. The menu is excellent, offering all the classic pub favorites along with some fantastic vegan options. The Tofish and Chips, Tofu Burger, and Jackfruit Caribbean Curry are all delicious and worth trying.

One thing to note is that they don’t take bookings, so it’s a good idea to arrive early to get your name on the list. The pub gets very busy, and tables fill up quickly.

In summary, the Blue Peter Inn is everything you could want in a traditional pub—charming, historical, and full of character. It’s a place you’ll want to return to again and again.
