They changed the name!!! No more Sackler!! Good because sackler are bad we dont like sackler.

However, this library has low ceiling, horrible lighting, ugly green desks, and depressing vibe in general. Not clean toilet as well. Come here at your own discretion.

Not recommended!

A few hours ago, while I was trying to do my work I was rudely interrupted by this man’s disgusting burping noise. A man who obviously has ab access to the library was there watching something using one of the computers and laughing, making weirdest noises and burping ceaselessly. After a while I had to leave and saw him almost laying on the chair with her crocs next to the desk! How people can be this selfish in public, let alone in a library! Staff needs to be more alert to this type of disruptive and antisocial behaviour. And I hate their horrible anti-humane bell, too!

I come to this library a lot because it's one of the closest places for me to work. However today (just three hours ago), I faced an unbelievable discriminatory behaviour by another female reader who was very rude, hostile and commanding over me due something completely ridiculous. She commanded and talked to me as if I was a person of lower class, mocking me in what she was asking me to do. It completely ruined my day and caused me to have a panic attack and exit the library, while the female reader faced nothing and was still doing her work as normal after what she did to me.

Completely unacceptable to allow entitled and rude readers like her to emotionally and verbally assault others, which makes the library an uncomfortable space for some students like me. It's very sad that discriminative incidents like this happen at the University of Oxford, and it is not the first time that I have witnessed something like this. I have complained and reported this incident to the librarians but obviously I know that nothing is going to be done.

Love this library. Always nice and empty, especially on the top floors.

Would be more ethical to rename this library after Pablo Escobar. Shame Oxford University hasn’t followed moves by other institutions to remove the Sackler name.

Other than the entrance, the library is quite stuffed and unimpressive. Its numismatic collections are decent, but stuffed to the side in a cramped location.
