Nice place for a visit, well laid out, and lots of good displays. Smaller site, so will only need a couple of hours to get around.

But the town is nice too, for a walk before or after the castle.

Parking is limited, so used a carparked over the road.

The grounds are nice.

Loved Bolsover Castle. Didn't have as much time as I would have liked to go through the grounds and castle. Gardens were lovely, with a variety of flowers and plants. The craftsmanship of the stonework and doors were beautiful. It helped that this was a beautiful sunny day which allowed for a good visibility of the surrounding areas.

Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area. Amazing views, nice wall walk, and interesting rooms with some restored wall and ceiling decorations as well as some furniture. The cafe on-site is usual - not amazing, not terrible either.
