The post office is an essential part of our Village. It isn’t just a shop. It’s where we can purchase post office requirements including foreign currency, get cash, post parcels, etc,. all are efficiently dealt with. Also cards, toiletries, newspapers, magazines, food and sweets are sold.
It’s in our post office that we hear of any elderly folk in the village who may need help, or a new baby that has arrived safely. To lose our post office would be an absolute travesty. Our post office here in Brenchley is the heart and soul of our village community.
It is essential that it stays.

I can’t imagine the village without the Post Office and shop. Shop is well stocked with a few well thought out essentials, the owner and assistant give a warm welcome and are very helpful, and the post office itself is invaluable in so many ways. It would be a tragedy if it has to close.

During my thirty years in Brenchley the local Post Office has played an important part in my life. I use the facility at least three times a week and never fail to meet other people in there, buying stamps, posting parcels or getting money out. I find it hard to recall a time when there is nobody using this essential service. The Postmaster is unfailingly polite, helpful, efficient and friendly. To the elderly members of the village the Post Office is a life-line. Without this facility they would have to venture into Paddock Wood – many of them are no longer able to drive and there is no bus service to Paddock Wood. The Post Office there is usually extremely busy and many Paddock Wood residents actually prefer to come to the Post Office here in Brenchley.

We are so very lucky to have the wonderful village Post Office and shop. Chris & Andy are always there ready to help and the opening hours are so convenient. I am pretty sure that all our villagers use the shop and are forever grateful that It's there - so -" long may it reign ! "
