I am deeply disappointed with the service I received from this Local Authority. I reached out with genuine concerns about my nephew’s mental and emotional well-being, hoping they would help facilitate communication or pass along a message to reassure him that his family loves and cares for him. Instead, I was met with indifference and a lack of meaningful support.

Despite explaining the close bond my nephew shares with his grandparents, myself, and other family members, it seems that maintaining these important relationships is not a priority. It is heartbreaking to see how a family can be torn apart without any effort to preserve the emotional stability of the child involved.

Families should not be treated as an afterthought in situations that impact a child’s mental health. While I understand confidentiality policies, it feels as though compassion and genuine care for the child’s emotional needs were completely absent. I expected more from a service entrusted with supporting families and safeguarding children.

I hope the organization takes these concerns seriously and works toward better practices that prioritize family unity and the child’s overall well-being.

Writing this on behalf of a friend who was treated appallingly as a member of staff. The provisions are typically run understaffed yet the lowest paid are then blamed for inevitable issues, while a totally inept senior management passes the buck. Don't concern yourself with feedback or complaints because those won't be dealt with constructively or professionally.

Brighter futures purposely mislead and lied to us.
We offered a flat for a quiet well behaved individual, who could have a long term home.
instead we received a violent thug straight from prison.
He has wrecked the flat and continues to terrorise his neighbours.
We have lost a long term tenant, who left because he was worried for the safety of himself and his girlfriend.
landlords avoid at all costs

I am writing this review to express my deepest gratitude and appreciation for the exceptional service provided by Mrs. Mwendamberi Christabelle, a social worker at your organization. Over the past two years, my family has been assigned several social workers due to my son's difficulties in attending school. Unfortunately, some of these individuals proved to be ineffective and uninformed, with Stephan being particularly disappointing.

However, everything changed when a court-appointed social worker for children in need was assigned to our case to conduct a report under Article 7. It was at this point that I had the pleasure of meeting Mrs. Mwendamberi Christabelle. I can honestly say that I have never encountered a social worker as honest, professional, and dedicated as her. She approached her work with unwavering integrity and fairness, ensuring that every detail was thoroughly examined and documented.

I want to express my heartfelt thanks to Mrs. Mwendamberi Christabelle for her hard work and exceptional professionalism. Her report not only shed light on the situation but also provided valuable insights and recommendations. She went above and beyond to ensure that my son's best interests were at the forefront of her efforts.

I would also like to extend my appreciation to Mrs. Christabelle manager, Brenda, for fostering an environment that encourages and supports such outstanding work. If all social workers possessed the abilities and compassionate approach demonstrated by Mrs. Christabelle, countless families would experience the happiness and positive outcomes that we have achieved.

Once again, thank you to Mrs. Mwemdaberi Christabelle and the team at Brighter Future for Children for their hard work, dedication, and integrity. Without their intervention, I firmly believe that my son would still be suffering under his neglecting mother. Your organization has made a significant difference in our lives, and for that, we are truly grateful.

Sincerely,
Mokhtar Benslimane

I have attended many of the events with my toddler son during the holidays. There's a lot of choice and classes are easy to book, with excellent communication from the staff.

The staff work hard to prepare a range of activities to excite and engage the children. Messy Play includes scented playdough with activity mats, chocolate flour with scoops and tools, a variety of pasta with pots and tools to explore capacity, cereals and farm animals, coloured rice with numbers and tools and also a dark den. My son took part in all activities and enjoyed exploring light and dark and making shadows in the dark den with torches. He was very engaged in the messy play as he scooped up the mixture and filled different sized containers. He was excited to find numbers hidden in the rice and confidently identified them and began counting. Sophie and Helen were at hand to guide and support him in his play and were very friendly as well as answering any questions I had.

Sophie's Rhyme and Song group was great as the children took part in singing songs and rhymes with the use of coloured scarves and musical instruments. Sophie used a variety of puppets to support each song which kept the children excited and engaged.

On Friday we attended Sports 4 Kids. This class was extremely well planned and well paced as the children took part in a variety of sport games. The leader was incredibly good with young children and their behaviour was excellent throughout as they followed his instructions. He learnt all their names straight away and encouraged and supported each child as they took part and praised them. The games were modelled well and the children were keen to take part. The children also worked in teams to collect and balance bean bags which they later counted, completed an obstacle course, moved in a variety of ways acting out various animals and more. I was also impressed the leader encouraged children to take short breaks for water throughout their exercising as this is also part of keeping healthy.

These classes are free and are excellent for all children as they grow and learn in many fun ways such as using their imagination, communicating, sharing, working as a team, measuring, counting and developing their fine and gross motor skills. Thank you so much to the team for their hard work. My son always wants to visit the wonderful library next door after the sessions to read stories. We will definitely return again soon.

After spending 4 months in hospital with my preemie baby, the best think I ever have back home was to spend time with our family worker Leah. I can’t express how wonderful she was, helping us with everything. Going to activities, chatting, launching together. I can’t thank you enough. Thank you so much Leah and all the team ♥️
