Burnby Hall Gardens is an absolutely beautiful place to visit. We loved walking around and taking in the sights and scents of the many flowers in bloom. The gardens are well-maintained and offer a peaceful atmosphere, perfect for a relaxing day out.One of the highlights of our visit was feeding the fish in the ponds. It was a delightful experience, especially for children, and added a fun, interactive element to our walk.We also stopped by the café, and the food was delicious. The menu had a good variety of options, and everything we tried was fresh and tasty. The café is a great spot to take a break and enjoy a meal while soaking in the views of the gardens.Overall, Burnby Hall Gardens is a wonderful place to spend a few hours. Whether you're a nature lover, a family with kids, or just looking for a peaceful retreat, it’s well worth a visit. I’ll definitely be returning!

What a lovely place, used purple pass to get in for free but paid for the fish food... Yes fish food, you NEED the fish food! Won't spoil it by how but it was really funny and nice. A lovely walk around, small but was pleasant. Flowers were really good despite near autumn.lovely shop and cafe. A very good museum of the Stewart legacy, interesting read. Really enjoyed it, but need to slow it all down walking around etc. definitely coming here again as the small town of Pocklington is rather nice. Lovely indeed.

Haven’t been during the day, But visited during the illuminations event for Christmas not going to post too many pictures as don’t want to ruin it for anyone visiting for this event. Had a fantastic time and so did the kids! Everything you need on site and a cute little gift shop too. Will definitely be returning during the day to see all this place has to offer.

This was a stopping point with my two young daughters to break a long journey up. We had a lovely few hours in the gardens, the playground and the cafe. We could have spent longer within the grounds but time was restricted with our travels. My two year old was amazed with the fish and even my 11 month old showed interest. The playground is lovely and an added bonus as we didn’t expect a children’s play area. Fortunately I had a towel in the pram to dry the equipment down after last nights rain. There was lots to do in the playground and we could have spent longer than we did.
The grounds are just beautiful and very well maintained.

The cafe which is separate from Burnby Hall (I assume privately owned?) was very good. The children’s menu is very well priced and the hot cheese scones were delicious. My only complaints would be that I wasn’t checked up on during the meal to order more drinks and the coffee wasn’t the best. Traveling solo and being seated outside meant that I was unable to attract the waitresses attention to order more drinks and I was unable to go inside as it would mean leaving my two children unattended.

Beautiful gardens with a wonderful cafe that has delicious food and great service. A peaceful oasis with 2 lakes full of water lillies, birds and fish. Fish food to buy at the shop. Different areas of the garden to see. A rockery, stump garden, herbaceous borders, birds, and the lakes. Lots of benches and spots to relax. Children's play area, a museum about the original owner and toilets. £9 for an adult ticket. Recommended
