Not supportive of families with disabilities

I was on a WhatsApp group yoti.
And this is supposed to be a support group in prayers to discuss
Things with other parents
Are in similar situations to not make me feel so isolated
Instead of helping you made feel more isolated that is the Christian way! No .and also so when my son went to the nursery there I wasn't allowed to breastfeed in a chair I had to sit outside in the rain
I was refused a privacy breastfeed room
And the nursery staff was also rude to me as well

Also I used to work here cleaning
Volunteered in this church for many years.
I have disabilities myself
You also did not give me time to do my job properly it take me a little longer due my disability
Which my father spoke to management about, and was still treated really poorly

You do not accommodate for children with disabilities either or adults with disabilities
Instead to make us feel more isolated

Strategically located for easy access from any direction, the building stands like a beacon of hope. Adequate car parking, accessible parking and entrances too. Conferencing, community grocery, Jigsaw club and indeed a place of hope for all.

What a warm and loving welcome this morning. Great to worship God here and soak in his word.
The elevator music played CONTINUALLY while people were on stage speaking before the preach was so irritating for me, not everyone has perfect hearing, it made it difficult to hear the announcements being shared by the speakers…
Beautiful Church family though and really deserves 5 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Never returning. Used to attend before I had a realisation that unless you're raised into/with it as your church and have a disability they cannot fix or pray away they will isolate you, they will not encourage you to join in the service in any way once they've seen themselves/their members as "tried" (ie when you first arrive) they will leave you stuck and to some extent say they've somewhere you can "watch" the service when in reality you're took upstairs and left there with nothing else, they have ZERO disability accessibility to their church besides one ramp for wheelchair users (I've never seen one there though) they have tried to tell me they're "changing" but I see no change, no awareness of how adults are also disabled that they can't just assume prayers make it go away or that children once they hit 18 are no longer disabled. No BSL or interpreters exist there, no communication on screen or closed captions when the pastors speak only when they put the Bible verse on the screen, no sensory spaces, no special needs ministers or ministries at all (are we not worth it to you because we don't fit your mold? GOD SAYS DIFFERENT!) and they do not have any no accessible toilets, no changing places, no hearing loops, no quiet spaces, no braille or variant of it and next to no options when it comes to being able to be their safely and non isolated if you're disabled and not "high functioning" (ie can talk/walk/socialise) I will NEVER return but I still have my faith in Christ. They never ruined that.

So glad I can call this church my home. Have loved inviting friends to visit over the years all of whom have loved the experience; in addition, I am grateful for how my faith has been challenged in every area. A great place to settle in to regardless of what stage in life you are at. The community are some of the kindest you will meet and the integrity of the leadership is exemplary.

Part of this incredible church for four years which above all else honours God and people so well. Proud to be of a church with such a strong missional output. The teaching and leadership over me has made my faith and relationship with God so much stronger all whilst having heaps of fun in such a great, friendly atmosphere!
