Great little sports club

Took my partners son to have a kick around as he’s keen to find a team and having moved nearby it seemed the best placed location. We were soon approached by a man, looking for trouble, he was rude and arrogant.
He asked who had given us permission, we were told by the sports club we could, he said they aren’t anything to do with us and as we were rude (we really weren’t, we actually apologised a lot) he wouldn’t give us the gate code or let us stay any longer.
He was just looking for trouble.

I think he had probably had too many sherbets in the bar and wanted to throw his weight around.
This day and age, clubs are struggling for players of all ages, grass routes is there to encourage and grow interest.

Why when a young lad wants to improve enough to play for your team would you squash that.

It’s also out of season and the pitches are just stood there unused.

Visited this place to watch my grandson play football for his u11 side. Approached by a narrow road. Entrance has an incline but there is plenty of parking. The clubhouse is just inside the entrance to the right and is modern looking. The pitches are straight ahead except one, the main pitch which is used by the main mens team. All the pitches have a slope from side to side. They are flat though. On the day we were there, the grass was a bit to long for the lads as it slowed the ball down. Good game to watch but a defeat for my lads team.

Cam Valley football pitches are privately owned and rented out to Purnells youth.
No one is against youngster having a kick about if the parent asks at the right
Clubhouse not neighbouring clubhouses who have no authority at all.
They can then be shown an area that has nt had time and money spent on seeding in
Preparation for next season fixtures .
