My mum passed away last year and I have had a lot of sorting to do and with charity shops closed this seemed a good way of donating all her lovely clothes to a good cause. I have had two bags left recently and put the first out as requested on the Tuesday but it was never collected. By this last time (end January 21) I had accumulated four bags, two of theirs plus two bin bags of my own clearly labeled. I am not resident at her property so phoned them to be sure they knew I had bags for collection. They confirmed the driver would be told to call at her address before 6 pm. The only dry place is her covered porch out of sight at the side of the property so I put a big note on the door as to where they were left plus a big arrow with their name inside the front window to direct them. On arriving the next day they were all still there damp with condensation which I then had to dry out before I could put them inside her wardrobe out of sight for a property viewing that afternoon.

These are the most lovely clothes, many designer labels plus some brand new handbags and shoes. With all charity shops closed it is so inconvenient and nigh on impossible to find places to store all her things. I really thought they would have snatched my hand off for such a generous and high quality donation, with lots more to come had they wanted.

If they no longer have the facility to store donations why would the leave bags and make a personal arrangement to collect them?

Actually I am beginning to wonder if this Cancer Care Trust even exists.

I have put one star because you have to, otherwise it would have been zero.

Yes, they post the plastic bag to the door step, but never collect the cloths.
I did call to them to inform about the bagfull of good quality cloths asking to collect, but they never turned up. May be they have to stop distributing the plastic bags for cloths collection.

Just found lods of these empty charity clothes bags that were supposed to be distributed chucked behind an electric substation in Urmston in the bushes. Stop with these plastic bags or decrease the frequency of distribution to once a year after Christmas for instance when people cannot be bothered to bring back unwanted gifts. No one has bags of unwanted clothes to donate every single week. These plastic bags contribute to the already huge plastic pollution problem for what I suspect is very little gain, there is no way to recycle them either. Other charities have stopped it because it is pointless.

Don't waste your time. Bag left out as instructed and not collected. Another charity did the same and when I phoned them the individual at the other end couldn't have been less interested. That bag was left uncollected as well. Do yourselves a favour and just use their plastic bags for your home waste and dispose accordingly.

Recently did a massive house clearing and had tons of bags I wanted to donate to charity as most of the charity shops are closed I found their number and tried calling to arrange a collection, a driver was arranged and collected my bags the next day.

I appreciate the works you guys do, otherwise I would of had piles of clothe sitting around my house.

placed some unwanted clothes last Wednesday as requested, by 11am had nt been collected, Phoned and was told could be up to 6pm.
At 7pm took them indoors and phoned the next day to be told he could contact the driver, but to put them out again, At 7.30 pm I took them in again. I shan't be donating again

Had two bags of clothes, mens and womens, to collect, after putting bags through the door a few days ago. Came and collected bright and early on the date stated. Excellent little service to help recycle/reuse and help a good cause.
