Myself and my husband went to visit Chapel Lodge with a view to relocating my mother in law there. The person who greeted us was very welcoming and friendly, then we went into the managers office for a chat. What a difference. Although we had made an appointment, the manager was rude and insulting to me as a potential customer, saying that if I shut up and gave him a chance to speak then he could say what he needed to say as he was in a hurry to leave as an emergency had arisen. I can understand the emergency but definitely not the rudeness.
He also was short tempered and rude to his staff in front of us. If this is his attitude to potential customers and staff, then what is he like with our beloved relatives, who are his residents. Needless to say my mother in law will not be relocating to this care home.

I just want to say chaple Lodge is a fantastic care home my mum was in sadly only 4mth just passed this week .
Mum was in a previous care home with all good cqc scoring top reviews
(a lot from staff themselves ) promised this and that but was awful never dealt with mum or dad's needs .
But chaple Lodge went above and beyond for my mum and myself I was able to stay 24hr for 4 days while my mum sadly passed
If anyone wants their loved ones taken care of 100 % then don't hesitate xx

My father was only at Chapel Lodge for 2 weeks before he passed away. The care he was given was excellent. The staff were so caring and understanding. I could not have chosen a better place for Dad's last days. Thank you.

Very lovely, clean place. Manager, David who showed us round was very pleasant. Welcomed us in, even tho we went unannounced. Spoke to one of the residents there who loved it. I was pleasantly surprised. Each room decorated lovely. Very nice place. Would definately recommend here.
