When we arrived at chalet previous guests bedding was still on beds. Owner bought bedding in from car and said she would knock £50 off price it we changed sheets. It had been a long journey with 2 children so we agreed as we wanted to get settled into the chalet.
It became clear that the chalet hadn't been cleaned when the following happened:
My daughter bought me sweets from her room that weren't hers along with used cotton pads.The shower was absolutely filthy including a shower plug blocked with dog hair and human hair. The smell made me gag!. The toilet was also filthy so I had clean the whole bathroom before anyone could use it.
The sofas were also dirty and sticky and when we moved the to clean we found dog balls and food debris underneath them.
On the Friday prior to leaving I decided to use use the Hetty hoover in the chalet. I was then subjected to the overpowering smell of wet dog coming from the hoover , needless to say I didn't continue to use the hoover. When we stripped the beds on the Saturday morning I discovered we had been sleeping on black Mouldy mattress protector.
We had booked the chalet about 4 months before this so had expected it to be ready upon arrival. I had also looked at previous reviews which said the chalet was clean but was not our experience and I notice a few reviews recently with similar issues.
I did bring up these issues to the owner who claims the £50 was for the cleaning too , this is not a conversation neither my husband or I recall happening. Owner has also offered 50% off if we book with her next year. We won't be taking up this offer as once was enough.

Great chalet,and site. 5 mins to beach,shop and pub. Seaview cafe at the Observatory is excellent.Beach is great and easily accessible.

This resort is wonderfully quiet and well maintained.
It felt 'safe', hopefully that wasn't me being naieve!
A very short walk away from the beach and with a delightful and unexpected mini 'nature reserve' directly opposite the entrance, the whole place is frankly a little gem.. Not recommended for families with small children, in my opinion it is far more suitable for the over 55's like me! Dog friendly, people friendly... It's just friendly?
Highly recommended if you are wanting peace and quiet with no 'bells and whistles'.

awful experience. dirty, unclean rooms, tiny. no wardrobe or cupboards for clothing, 6" space to walk around the bed. noisy beyond belief with workmen next door. you have to pay extra for electricity at a massive high rate, pay extra for Wi-Fi.

These are in the grounds of the Eastfields Caravan park. There are a lot of Chalets, some privately owned. Lots of them are really well maintained and have their own private sitting our areas.The grounds are kept nice and tidy. I would describe them as being 'sort of semi detatched'.
They are a bit old fashioned to look at but offer good accomodation close to the beautiful beaches and away from the hustle and bustle of the busier caravan parks.

Our first time here what a lovely clean well equipped chalet really helpful people dog friendly beach few mins walk away we will be booking again food at Trafalgar inn cheap and delicious local kebab house in chapel st Leonard recommend too
