The folks at Charitable Allies, especially attorney Spencer Rehn, were very helpful and responsive as we sought to dissolve our 501c3. He explained what could be a complicated process in simple terms and made everything painless. I'd certainly recommend Charitable Allies to others in the nonprofit world!

If I could give them zero stars I would. After 6 months and nearly $2,000 we have had ZERO progress with our charity. We have been given the run around, our case workers have changed twice so far (why are employees leaving this company so often) and they have given a multitude of excuses as to why they haven’t been able to do xyz. They claimed they can’t get ahold of the IRS but I called today and got right through. I was given an email of a new associate when the last one quit, only for that new email and number to not work. I don’t know how this place is still in business.

This was an excellent experience for our small education-related nonprofit organization. After extensive updates to our bylaws we needed a legal review to ensure compliance, and we had difficulties finding local attorneys who could do this kind of work one-off for us. We found Charitable Allies via an online search, and they ended up being exactly what we needed. An appealing business model (a nonprofit serving only other nonprofits), a range of content expertise, and a free initial free 1/2 hour consultation. Our assigned attorney (Spencer) was very knowledgeable, and he responded promptly to any questions we had. Turnover time was quick, and the cost was very affordable. Strongly recommended!

Edit: I had some issues with my order getting assigned to the right person, it sounded like they were a little behind. Took around 5 months to get my registration reinstated, so I am editing my review to say that once my case was redirected to the right person, they were able to handle my issue thoroughly and accurately. I appreciate when my issue was escalated that they were able to give it attention. Would use them again!

We had a complex and volatile situation. Katie Buckner was able to grasp the situation, including the nuances, and wade through many emails to get to the core matters. She was a great assistance to our board of directors, and also worked with attorneys hired by our insurance company. We couldn’t be happier with the quick and accurate responses.
