I went there for years. Was in the Womens Survivors Group and received individual therapy. It really helped peel away the layers of trauma I had from childhood abuse. I made lifelong friendships with the other women in the group. Many of the therapists are new and learning, but they are very nice.

This place can care less about the well being of children and are just as bad as DCF. My daughter was abused at Kiddos Cove Preschool and they said her bruises were not normal but then tells DCF they were normal toddler bruises. Please tell me how bruises on a 1 year old butt checks are normal?!?!

Very nice people. Quiet. Nice waiting area. One of the rooms is for the kids to keep amused. Locked door. Must call when you arrive.

This place ruined my life i was maybe 11 years old i had been molested for years. I went there scared and there conclusion was that i was lying. The reason i was lying according to them was because my dad left us and i was angry when it had nothing to do with dad. I had no justice i was so young and needed help and till this day i hold anger and sadness i just wanted help thanks for nothing.

Sometime ago, I contacted Childrens Advocates when I became aware that someone was misrepresenting themselves online as being employed there after discovering a false Well Being Report had been filed on my behalf. A professional staff welcomed my concerns to correct the misrepresention.

They allow therapist to go to court and testify without the child's or Parents Consent Totally UNETHICAL a Now Sitting Magistrate (who at the time was a child's Attorney Ad Litem) Commented on this Issue In open court about a therapist From the CAC and said he felt his client (the child who was going to the cac for Therapy) had his Rights Violated by the therapist from the CAC coming to court and talking about what the child allegedly told her in private without his permission and by law the privilege to release that information is held by the child (patient) i attached a reminder note found in the child's caregivers home after her passing and as you can see and read the Therapist Colleen Martens (not sure if she is still employed at the CAC anymore But NEVER let you child See this Lady for Any Services) She Told this Child to Tell his attorney! that is totally unethical therapists/counselors do not ORDER or tell people what to do they listen and give advice but thats it. If your in a Dependency Case and they want your child to go to the CAC for services (especially TF CBT THERAPY) MAKE sure you do EVERYTHING in your power to make sure your child DOES Not go there they are in the Pockets of the state Make sure your child goes to a place THAT YOU hand pick NOT the state I am a concerned citizen and Relative of this child and do not want to see ANY Other child in lee county Mentally abused like this child was in the care of the CAC
