What a wonderful little gem of a true local shop, we work all over the country visiting many villages and its usually large retail names being the local outlet selling very much generic disappointing produce.. I bought a lovey beef salad sandwich and a pork pie, both were delicious and top quality, we also bought a stalk of sprouts which were excellent did us three meals over a week and a half, used every sprout.. We also bought some other bits n bobs chocolate bar, sweets, crisp and drinks all were reasonable prices, certainly the fresh produce is very reasonable in price considering the quality and presentation.. I walked in for the first time a stranger wearing a big yellow hiviz jacket and was warmly welcomed by the staff, lovely friendly people.. We will be recommending your shop to the workforce.. Many thanks :o)

Absolutely a rip off!! Prices are more that of a spar shop , avoide ! Went to buy veg it was all moody and charging £1.69 for a moldy cabbage , staff are polite but obviously have no knowledge on fare trading axt 2008 pricing at all.. it's not a community shop it's let's rip of the village people to save them a 2 mile trip to sherburn were everything is half the price .. and make money on saying we are volunteers and it's for the community.. I'd avoide and so the trip to sherburn yourll actually save money !!! Iv lived rural all my life and this shop is branding it's self as community but not supporting a community especially in the current cost of living ..I'm a mentle health nurse and I'd ensure anyone struggling to go afield for grocery's it will save you money it's not worth the key community status it's an absolute ortrosity the prices are more than convienan shops never in my life have I paid £1.69 for a mouldy cabbage and I didn't either I left it at the till!! When was a gabbage priced in any shop at £1.69 That's more than m&s it's ludicrous and disgusting to be honest that's not community shop that's exstorshorn to a communit!!!

Love the quality veg and dairy they offer. Also the fact that it's community run (by volunteers) is just amazing. Oh! Their sausage rolls and pork pies are on point as well.

A true community asset. Stocks all of your essentials plus some harder to find ingredients, which is impressive for such a small shop. The staff are always friendly and keen to help. It's fantastic to see an increasing number of plant-based products being stocked.
