Most staff members from bottom to top try their best...but...the hospital is pathetically understaffed. You rarely see a physiotherapist, ironic for a rehab hospital? When they set a discharge date it's without consulting you, the patient. Overall, a somewhat negative experience.

Dermatologist was extremely hectic, likely because she spent way too long with the previous patient.
Resulting an extremely rude and unprofessional experience.
Plus she prescribed meds that required a prerequisite blood test that she failed to mention. Luckily I read the entire leaflet and discovered that , which wasn't very well highlighted/prioritised in said leaflet...
Hence very disappointed....

After initially seeing Dr Jantana, I was a promised a follow up appt for the 9th Oct and I'm still waiting. I've left numerous messages on the answer machine to no avail, no one has returned my call. I cannot contact any other person as no details are provided for my health issues. It is appalling and scandalous that no respect or courtesy has been shown to me....Mrs Carole Lawrie

Disgraceful! My Nana was transferred here to Ward 1 from Victoria Hospital. 7 weeks later zero improvement. Doctors and Nurses are never about. Physio comes and goes when they feel like it. Senior management is very very poor. When speaking to a nurse she literally walked off to go on her break. Also raised the fact, my grandma wished NOT to be changed by two male assistants, to which I got the reply “that wouldn’t happen” after witnessing with my very own eyes.
The level of care in particular is very concerning. Not good to find my Nan not being regularly changed, being left in a bed covered in food, and her resulting in having a small stroke without the staff recognising the warning signs. Reported to PALS. Ward 1 is also tired, with much of the furniture and beds broken. Totally shambolic. I would strongly urge anyone who ends up in this place to reconsider either a transfer or if the level of care would actually be better back at home as we did. Eventually we had to discharge my Nan back home with private carers as she was nosediving in this place. To say this is a recuperation hospital, they do nothing to help or aid the recovery of any patients. They do not communicate with family. And ended up actually stealing some of my Nans personal belongings. Will be avoiding!

As iv been unable to attend the hospital on a regular basis iv been on face time and witnessed medication neglect. Staff complaining attured about my partner shouting for attention after ringing a bell for 30 minutes waiting to be helped to the toilet. And a staff member wipe a table before trying to use the same paper to wipe his bottom. Where is the duty of care gone my partner asked if he could have a coffee was refused and told he had his coffee at 8pm I have reporting this to cqc and safeguarding adults plus NHS complaint I'm very disappointed in this kind of care. As the are people in this hospital with dementia I feel if the staff can do this to a none dementia person I hate to think how the people with dementia are treated.
