I would give zero stars if I could. They wouldn't help me and my 5 children because my husband that we have a protection order from is on my lease. I have no income I've been a stay at home mom for 7 years. No help at all. Don't get your hopes up.

I was not finished writing and my message went away. I was refused help by COVA in Pueblo. I was raped by a serial sex molesting doctor that Parkview Hospital knew about BEFORE I was raped and molested. The next year an underage driver damaged my brain-I have a VNS implant now for epilepsy.I asked for help and Florence in the DA's office said COVA was not for me--to just get over it. NO--I went through HELL and it was my right to have help. So abused in court. She needs to be fired. Because Parkview is the largest employer in Pueblo they get to abuse and rape us? NO. MY experience with COVA was horrendous. I was blocked from your help that was rightfully mine.
I will be getting an attorney. I have all of the court proof of just how horrible this experience has been. A disabled senior and you refused me.

Victim of crime in Denver? Good luck getting a single penny - the big scam/cover up is that all the money goes to the Denver Police Department, and their "victim advocates " who do absolutely nothing for you. I was assaulted and the left side of my face is caved in. Orbital fracture and head trauma. The incompetent soccer mom Denver assistant D.A. Maggie Conboy is the worst trial attorney imaginable - she frittered about during trial, presumably to "give a break" to a brand-new Denver defense attorney who couldn't argue his way out of a phone booth with Superman there to assist. After the hung jury, I fired off dozens of letters to every elected official and investigative journalist I could find an address for. Lo and behold, within two days Maggie Conboy was giving the perp who caved in my face a Felony Assault charge. She was mad as hell and I think the letters I wrote got the attention of important people who questioned her professional competence. Unfortunately, she retaliated against me by making sure I never got a penny to get surgery on my punched-in face. I have a caved in face and I look like a deformed freak with a sagging eye and mouth. The orbital fracture was never repaired and the contents of the eye and the sinus cavity sank lower and lower. I get headaches and I wish someone would investigate where all the Federal "victim compensation " money goes. It sure doesn't go to victims of crime!

COVA staff is very inappropriate with young victims. They need more training on how to communicate without causing triggers or upsetting everyone in the family... shame on you

Thank you so much for the quick response in working with our agency and the simplified process in doing so was greatly appreciated by the victims we've assisted because of your program.

They don’t care about you or what happened to you. They will lie and do whatever they want to keep money from getting to the victim. Don’t waste your time - you’ll have trauma from this too.
