After knowing about Community of Purpose's work for a couple of years, I've always known they're doing incredible work in the community but until recently had been a 'spectator' supporter.

I finally made the jump to volunteer at one of their Break Free holiday days, and am so pleased I did! Seeing the impact first hand was amazing, the smiles on the children's faces as they have fun, make new friends, enjoy spending time with the community of people they connect with was so heartwarming. So many children really came out of their shell, you could tell that Break Free was making a big difference in their lives.

Though initially daunted by volunteering, I had nothing to worry about! Everyone was so welcoming and encouraging, it was great to have a mix of regular and new volunteers who were all there for the same reason of supporting children in the local community.

There was such an atmosphere of joy and togetherness, the team work so hard to arrange everything for the kids, it was a real display of the community coming together for good. I can't wait to volunteer again and would encourage anyone thinking about it to just sign up and go have fun.

Well done Community of Purpose for all that you're doing to change the lives of children in Bristol! <3

COP.................WOW what a fantastic charity.

They do what they say on the tin in every aspect of what they do -

Community & Purpose

Community in both what they provide for the young people they support and also for the like minded business that they bring together.

Purpose in all that they do - you can see it evident in all their programs and the continual drive to improve things for others.

For transparency -

I am both a supporter of what they do personally and via my own business.

I am also someone who has seen first hand on multiple occasions the differences they make to those less fortunate than ourselves with the delivery of their programs.

I am also someone who lives right amongst the areas they support the most and have witnessed the difference this makes in these areas and also more closely to families I know personally.

Services like this are what we need more of to make a difference in this world.

Keep it up the COP team, we need in this world what you provide more than ever and you'll forever have mine and the team at EMC Electrical Groups support.

My daughter recently did some volunteering work with Amy and her team, she absolutely loved working with the children, she said everyone had an amazing time and that they really work hard to ensure every child has the best experience. CoP and their programmes really do transform lives and ensure no one goes home hungry. Well done Amy, Josh and the team - a team of super heroes.

Community of Purpose is my top recommendation when someone asks me to suggest a worthwhile non-profit to support. They track their impact and publish their results in a transparent manner - I was recently invited to a thank you evening with a presentation, talks from some of the young people, and food! Volunteering with them is enjoyable, fulfilling, and gives you a glimpse into the lives of the children and families that COP assists. If you have the time, consider volunteering with them during school holidays; if you can, donate some food or treats for them to give to the children they help; and if you have the financial means, participate in their lottery for a chance to win some money while also giving back to the community.
