Alright, buckle up folks, because I just found my new favorite Costco in Poway, and I’m not looking back. First off, compared to the Santee location, this place was like a calm oasis in a desert of overcrowded shopping madness. I’m talking fewer people, smoother aisles an absolute Costco miracle

Now, let’s get to the goods, because this haul was legendary. For starters, I snagged this insane pack of Belgian chocolates for $13. I’m not even kidding 34 premium marshmallow-filled Belgian chocolates that could’ve easily been smuggled straight from Willy Wonka’s factory. I could feel my life improving with every bite

And don’t even get me started on the snacks. Bobos PB&J oatmeal cookies? Moist, chewy, and dangerously addictive. It’s like eating an oatmeal cookie and a PB&J sandwich at the same time genius move, Costco. 10/10, will hoard again.

Basic items? You know they got you covered. Toilet paper? I’m basically set for the next apocalypse with this massive haul (as you can see in my pics). For just $20, I’ve got enough TP to survive any Costco induced chaos. Seriously, I’ll be sitting pretty through any shortage

Then there’s the ground beef at $4.99 a pound. Like, where are you gonna beat that price? Nowhere! I grabbed a haul of grapes too just $6 for a mountain of them. It’s like Costco took one look at my snack game and said, “We got you.”

And don’t even get me started on their food court pizza. Sat down outside, sun shining, massive slice of pepperoni... it was like being at a pizza festival, but cheaper and with fewer regrets.

So yeah, Poway Costco? It’s my new go to. Amazing deals, fewer crowds, and now my pantry looks like I’m preparing for the snack Olympics. If you’re not already hitting up this Costco, you’re seriously missing out

Went to this store with my partner as we have for the last year. Every single time we have gone to this store we have the same routine. Usually I pay with my credit card, but today cashier Glenn had a problem with us. I could already tell he was going to be trouble. He seemed to be in an extremely bad mood. He took large items out of our cart and slammed them on the conveyor belt, and he did legitimately slam them on the conveyer belt. I’ve worked retail and know that it is a stressful job so I blew it off. When it came time to pay Glenn through a huge fit about me paying instead of my partner because it was my partner’s membership card that was scanned. The card I used to purchase our items comes out of the same bank account so this was completely arbitrary hair splitting on Glenn’s part. Keep in mind we have shopped at Costco for 4 years, paying the exact same way, but today Glenn saw two men checking out and I guess his homophobic brain could not comprehend. Absolutely will never be back.

12/29/24 Don’t buy the $5.99 organic mushrooms. Some of them in front looked like they were about to spoil. So I took a pack from the back that looked in better shape. Definitely not a good choice. Some of the mushrooms were partially rotten and everything on the bottom of the container was full of mold. I’m guessing this batch of mushrooms was mishandled or being sold at or past their expiration date. Costco usually has better quality control. Someone was asleep at the wheel this time. They need to pull that whole lot.
What does it take to get someone to answer a phone call at costco? Second day and nobody is picking up the phone.

The Poway Costco has all the virtues of a standard Costco with the added benefit of the car wash. The Costco carwash is staged pull-through type of excellent design that does a great job of cleaning a car efficiently and effectively. There is a high standard of quality and value to everything Costco does. The car wash is no exception. But not every location has one. It’s a plus for Poway.

My new membership was supposed to come with a $60 gift card and a $45 off online promo code. I was told I’d receive both in my email within a few days. I called customer service and they told me it would be after two weeks. A month later after not receiving it, I called again. A week after that I received a VM from the membership manager. I’ve tried calling back several times and left messages. Nothing. It’s has now been several months since I signed up and still have not received what I was promised by this Costco. I wonder if I will ever receive the gift card or promo code I was promised?!

Costco tire center is designed to keep you shopping and wasting time. They literally let me wait an extra hour at the end by just not driving the car out even when it's done. I definitely suggest to use Discount Tire instead, much better service there.
