Fully stocked bar, helpful staff, ample toilet facilities, and a good light and sound system. Obviously you appreciate it’s a working men’s club and a bit dated, but that adds to the charm and community feel. Happy to recommend holding an event here and enjoying one they put on too.

Good venue, couple of solid beers and not too expensive. Floors slope a little to the side so it can be hard to get a decent view. Gets rather hot during a show.

We had our wedding at Crookes Club and we had such a wonderful time. Our guests loved it and the retro and relaxed vibe was perfect for us. Maurice was extremely accommodating and easy-going, and he and his team went above and beyond to make the day great. Thank you Maurice for an unforgettable occasion!

I used the smaller room for a 40th birthday party. We comfortably fit 30+ people in there and the staff were more than accommodating helping us to set up, with a sound bar, plenty of tables and chairs, plus trestle tables for the buffet. The events manager was great, the bar was more than reasonably priced and it was a cracking venue for something like this. I'll be looking out upcoming events here and definitely won't turn down the chance for a pint or two in the future.

I held my 40th birthday party here on valentines day 2025 and it was one of the best nights of my life. The staff were extremely accommodating, letting us set up early in the day and getting special drinks in for the bar. The venue itself is wonderful, a brilliant back drop for whatever you want to put on. I really cannot thank them all enough for everything, I wont forget it in a hurry! Big thanks to Maurice and the team and if you want a party you really should book here. I booked a year in advance so get in early to avoid disappointment!! love Zoe XXXX

Only visit occasionally for the Sunday afternoon ballroom dancing, which is held there each month. Lovely big room with plenty of room to dance.
Staff are friendly and welcoming. Decent selection of drinks at the bar, including a choice of hot drinks, too.
There are always plenty of people in the public bar in so i can only assume that it is like that most of the time.

Crookes Social Club hosted our wedding reception and it was a fantastic evening. Many people told us it was the best wedding party they'd been to and that is a testament to everything about this brilliant venue.
From the start, Maurice and the team went above and beyond to accommodate our requests. The venue is amazingly adaptable, full of character and charm, and was big enough for our large party. The stage and dancefloor made a wonderful setting for our ceilidh. We had flexibility in decorating the room ourselves, as well as playing our own music from the good quality in-built sound system.
Maurice, Lauren and the team make everyone feel so welcome and special and we we were so grateful for their care and dedication to throwing such a fun party.
