Their webpage isn't clear enough for vulnerable bereaved people that they do not offer a professional counselling service (unlike Sue Ryder, which does).

I waited **7 months** to be matched with the most inflexible, pushy and intrusive person, who I had mistakenly presumed was supposed to be a professional counsellor. He was asking me for all of the fine details about my loved one's passing (including which hospital he'd been admitted to [?!]), and he ended the call by saying that it was "very interesting" talking to me. Meanwhile, I felt much worse after speaking to him.

Fortunately, I had had experience of professional counselling, and so I knew that what I had experienced was very very wrong. I rang Cruse up same day, to request support from a different 'trained volunteer'. 26 days later, and I've heard nothing. **AVOID**

Update: 2 weeks after leaving the above review I got the offer of sessions with a female bereavement volunteer. She gave me her job title, unlike the man who spoke to me, so that's a plus. But I declined their offer because in these situations it's really only a professional counsellor who can help.

Telephone number is wrong and when you get the right one it's just an answer machine. Forget it.
