Paulton’s gem of a gym: hidden between a cricket field, tennis court and bowls pitch is a gym you probably didn’t know existed. Enter inside, to walls covered in 80’s nostalgia art and you know you’ve entered the rabbit hole of ‘Curious Fitness’. Like Alice - you can go there to bulk up, or shrink down - but both adventures are planned, monitored, coached and supported. There is never more than 12 people in a session (big group) or 4 (small) and you are paying to share a personal trainer with the camaraderie of others but the personal attention of your own coach. I walked in last November and they’ve not been able to kick me out since and I’m a serial - join and never go gym member.here though, I’ve only missed two sessions in 10 months. It’s part of my routine that I’ll not give up. Highly recommend.

I’ve been training at Curious for over 7 years, I haven’t stuck to any other fitness related class for this long which is telling in its self. Curious has created a fantastic place to train and caters for all ages and abilities. Coaches are supportive and encouraging and the members are all fab which makes each session entertaining whilst getting the work done. I can’t honestly ever see myself leaving !!!!!

I’ve been going for around a year now after leaving a commercial gym. It’s been absolutely brilliant and I wouldn’t train anywhere else. All the trainers are amazing , they guide you, push you and make you smile! I’ve met some great people here and highly recommend.

I can't recommend Curious Fitness enough. I have been going for three months, after a recommendation from someone who has been going for nearly ten years. I have seen incredible results in this short time. All the sessions are lead by a Personal Trainers, in either large group (up to 12) or small (up to 4) sessions and it's amazing the difference it makes when you have a PT showing you how to do things properly.

There are a selection of morning and evening sessions and it you do a trial month, you can try them all out and see what fits. The ease of the booking system and the sessions operating both early and late means I can make it work amid my very busy schedule that changes week on week.

I was open when I started about the fact that my that I was feeling nervous to join for various reasons and I felt understood straight away. The PTs cater for a wide range of people and abilities, in a non judgemental and welcoming way. It's lovely to see such a range of people training together and all getting their needs met. I am grateful to have the help of the PTs in understanding my flexible muscles for the first time in my life! As a woman, I feel safe there and this is testament to the healthy culture they maintain. It's amazing what you can achieve when someone quite literally has your back.

I bloody love this place! The whole team are amazing at working around my various niggles and anyone who can put up with my level of wingeing and complaining deserves a medal. The level of knowledge, paired with an awesome, supportive atmosphere makes this an amazing place to train!

THE BEST GYM EVER. (Alex posting on Toby’s account as I don’t have one 😂). I’ve been coming for around 4 ish years maybe more and can’t fault the programme. I would certainly not work as hard as I do here at another gym. Great people and atmosphere. Love you guys. Xxx

It's a Gym, but not as you know it.....

Describing Curious as a gym doesn't do it justice. It's waaaay better than a gym. Let me say upfront, I'm NOT a "gym person". If the idea of going to a gym, full of people, waiting for equipment, not really having a clue what you're doing or if you're doing it right is unappealing, then Curious solves all that. The format is 45-60 mins, big group (max 12 people) or small group (max 4) mixed ability sessions where you are coached through a programme from start to finish. Everyone gets a turn, every ability is catered for, everyone supports you. From people who are clearly very fit, to those who really aren't, those recovering from injury or surgery, to very weak (getting stronger 💪), post menopausal 40+ women who just want to be less "wobbly" in places 🙋🏼‍♀️, the team at Curious have you covered. If you want or need it they'll give you nutritional advice and support too. Is it more expensive than other gyms? - yes. But do you get actual results? - yes! I've been going for two years and not regretted a single session.
So if you want to join a gym that really helps you reach your goals (and throw away the shaping underwear for good 🙋🏼‍♀️) then "Be Curious."

I love it because you don't have to do the gym experience on your own, being in a group makes training much more fun, coaches are brilliant, and I love gym nights. Still Curious? Give it a try.
