The volunteers were great 👍. Always on time for Radiotherapy pick up, and always friendly and helpful . They helped relieve the stress.

Not relevant to Daft as a Brush's key work, but my car had broken down in a precarious spot on the Fawdon roundabout coming off the A1 north bound. I was in a bit of a panic because the clutch had gone, I couldn't move the car and there was traffic whizzing past. A chap in a DaaB van swung up and said he'd come around the roundabout and help me. We couldn't get the car started but he helped me push it up the kerb to safety from where it was later recovered. Can't tell you how many people - many scowling because I was inconveniencing them - had just driven past me in a dangerous situation. Tells you that DaaB staff and volunteers are pretty special I guess. Their instinct is to help.

The Volunteers are fabulous, they made my 20 weeks treatment much easier, kept my spirits up with their compasion, friendly and supportive attitude, I could'nt have done this without them, they are a ⭐️. thank you all very much I appreciate it all.

As a family we would like to extend our warmest thanks and gratitude to “Daft as a brush” a non profit organisation and the amazing fabulous volunteers who give up their precious time to help people in need.

We where worried on how on earth our father was going to get to The Freeman Hospital when he needed Monday to Friday radical radiation for 4 weeks solid.

Without this amazing organisation and their team of equally amazing drivers and companions this would have proved very difficult for him.

Please do not underestimate what a fantastic service this is and how lucky we are to have them 👏👏

Fantastic people. They have been taking me back & forwards to hospital for my chemotherapy. Always punctual & escorted me up to the chemo ward. This has been a valuable service. My thanks to all volunteers.
