I was a volunteer there 9 years ago and did it for 5 years ,small little place , and the people that run it are good friends know , I got my cat from there 5 years ago she was aged 11 and never looked back , all the money made goes into paying vet bills , jabs , and any maintenance of the cattery , I just wish people would start considering taking on older cats as they all seem to be over looked when getting a cat , many people have a curtain type of cat they want eg black, male 4 months old then if you say you have a 6 month old they may say it's to old ,the people who run it even save up there points from the local supermarket and treat the cats to turkey Christmas day

contented ,playful lap cat.If you are looking for a puss cat friend I highly recommend giving Christine a ring.

We found the rescue centre a great experience. Upon our first visit, we were warmly welcomed as if we were family. There was only a few cats available for rescue, but we were given the time we needed to meet all of the animals, even those that couldn't be re-homed. We met Luna, a 6 year old cat that needed re-homing and had had some terrible luck in the past. She has turned out to be an amazing creature and has now settled extremely well, into our home. It was obvious that the rescue centre had taken amazing care of all of its residents, to allow this easy resettling. When we took Luna, you could see that the owners were visibly moved, seeing one of their own family, effectively leaving home. We cannot thank them enough. It has made an enormous difference to our own lives, and to Luna - of course. It hasn't all been smooth sailing, but she has the most amazing personality and we have worked as a family to make it a tremendous success. Each day brings new surprises and we learn something new about her.

If you can support this business in any way, even by just leaving some cat food in their donations basket at Sainsbury's, I'm sure they will be very grateful. Thank you Denton Cat Rescue for all your hard work and dedication to these wonderful creatures.

We first heard about Denton cat rescue, when reading about Myles,Sussex most unwanted cat ? Christine and Maurice, who run the rescue are a lovely couple, who dedicate their life’s to homeless cats and kittens.
We adopted Myles, who is absolutely gorgeous. He had been with Christine for nearly 4years after been found wondering round Seaford as a kitten.
They take in all ways and strays, vaccinate, chip and worm them all.
They have a lovely back garden which is all decked out with little rooms for each cat, with bed and blankets and a lovely enclosed play area .
If we go on holiday,we take Myles back to Christine and Maurice, for them to look after him,as I know nobody could look after him as good as they do.He always comes home well fed, watered AND groomed, which is something Myles will not let me do.
We can not fault their dedication to these lovely puss cats at all.
Keep up the good work ! And many thanks for all your love, time and money that goes into looking after all these stray cats.
