I used to pass by here on the way to college way back in 2009-11. So, being informed there’s a cinema now I was imaging some tiny 1 screen establishment.

Yet to my amazement The Depot Cinema and Restaurant is quite the modern spacious marvel! Stopping by for food before sitting comfortably to watch Conclave may be one of my favourite movie going experiences so far. The food was great and service very attentive.

Seating in the cinema was cozy and felt like I was back home on my couch. I think The Depot is my favourite cinema now, the easy station parking for £2/day is also an absolute steal. Also, if driving is a chore you also have the train station a stone throw away. It’s hard not to recommend this one!

Visited on a Thursday lunch time - it was packed! People were queuing for a table. It is a really lovely space. There are sofas or tables & chairs to choose from. Had a fish finger sandwich which was very tasty and not over cooked either! Fairly priced. The staff were friendly too. Although I did feel a little hurried to pay the bill. All in all, a very pleasant experience.

Nice little "upmarket" cinema opposite Lewes train station parking, screen 2 felt small but not too small and had great visibility from Row D. Beware, you can park for 2 hours at a lower charge at the station (not many films are this short nowadays) otherwise you have to buy a whole day ticket, currently £7.9. There's cheaper parking on the side of the cinema but it's apparently often full.

What a lovely venue and outside garden. 1st time experience. Love it here.We had a glass of wine as some had coffee. Very relaxing atmosphere with great vibes. Beautiful sunny day. Wish to sit in lovely garden but not windy.
They’re offering variety of food, wine, beer & tea, coffee. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Table service as well as help yourself. Toilets were clean.
It’s a very good meeting point. A beautiful gallery displaying beautiful artwork as well as a cinema for this lil town. Superb location just in front of Lewes train station. I'd definitely visit the Depot in Lewes again.

We love the Depot! Fabulous space with 3 screens, comfortable seating, really friendly staff, great restaurant (highly recommend the pear and goats cheese salad - wow) … an all round great experience. We have closer cinemas but it’s worth the extra drive to go to the Depot. Especially on a lovely day, to combine your visit with a wander round the lovely town of Lewes 🥰

I love this cinema, it's a really chilled out place to relax and catch a film however my visit today left me baffled. Myself and friends had a light lunch there and then saw a film . We came out at 4.20 and decided to have tea/coffee and cake to finish our day. We were informed that they don't serve cake with drinks after 4.00 pm. What a ridiculous policy! If they have cake, why not sell it? They lost the sale and we left a bit disappointed. Please give this a bit more thought.

A lovely spot in the middle of Lewes, a cafe/ restaurant as well as a cinema! Went for a brunch and was pleasantly surprised with a delicious meal! Staff were super friendly and service was fast and efficient. Space is well laid out with plenty of tables and chairs. There is also a section with comfy couches if you just want a coffee and a chat. Would highly recommend ⭐️😊
